Except that he's 24 now. He's been given time. It's time for him to prove his backers right. I am skeptical. - Phillywhiteout
Oh my bad…I thought you were talking Gauthier. |

And maybe one day the Flyers may do the same thing. After watching him grow as the season went on I think he’s just scratching the surface. - landros 2
I agree. He had talk, albeit minor talk, of selke level defense. That's impressive for someone who has played wing most of his career. He even limited McDavids point total in one of the games that we played against Edmonton. That's not easy to do
I may be wrong but I thought Cates even mentioned that he liked the C position.
Let's see how he does this upcoming season.
Did Cates play LW or RW before his transition to C? |

His groundwork is getting even weaker. Yesterday he had Yamamoto to Pittsburgh as an E3 but took it down after the comments reminded him that he already signed with Seattle. - Sinisalo4vr

He led the team in scoring over the final 54 games of last season. Almost entirely on the strength of even strength points. Not a month, not two months. Not even half half the season. Basically from the time he was moved up in the lineup and put in position to succeed.

He looked good, but is it sustainable. I think for this team to be a true contender they are going to need a higher quality second line center than Frost. I'm not sold yet. I was watching the playoffs and wondering how Frost would make out in some of those battle royals. I hope he hits the gym this off season cause I'd like to see him win more puck battles.

Well at least one prospect thought it was worth paying his own way :
8) Power forward prospect Devin Kaplan, who is coming off a strong freshman season at Boston University and will be at the USA Hockey World Junior Championships Showcase later this month, paid his own way to be eligible to attend the Flyers Development Camp again this year (as required by NCAA rules for a player tor attend a second Dev Camp with the same team). - Flyers_01
Kaplan lives in NJ. Also, Mcglaughlin from PA |

It doesn’t matter. Torts will be near the end of his contract when Michkov gets here. Jason Kidd clashed with Byron Scott. Scott fired. Demarcus Cousins clashed with Westphal. Westphal fired. Magic clashed with Westhead. Westhead fired. Torts is expendable. Michkov isn’t. |

Ek has Calgary and Winnipeg interested in Konecny, yet Seravalli and others are saying Sanheim with the same teams. - Glak18
If I’m Briere I’m telling every team that wants TK there price starts with taking Sanheim also. |

We won’t have to worry, because I honestly don’t thing Michkov will ever be able to play for the Flyers. |

You mean when Frost finally earned the right to move up in the line up. Frost had a very good second half of the season when the games didn’t mean anything. In my mind the jury is still out. He has the skill no doubt, Its the consistency IMO that is not there. |

Every statement you make on Frost is irrational and uninformed. By the way, an NHL season is 82 games. Half a season would be 41 games. He led the team in scoring the final 56 games. If player you like had done that, your bias of it was a weaker team wouldn't be there. Frost for a smaller player, is quite competitive in puck battles. |

It's just one hot take and delusion after another from you. First you delusionally want to give Sanheim away. Then Michkov is never going to play for the Flyers. Now, Frost finally earned the right to move up. Rather than the obsolete coach refusing to use players correctly. How can anyone make the statement that the games didn't mean anything? Is there any thought behind that whatsoever? Did the 41 games matter to the opponent they were playing? Did the games matter to the players who were trying to establish themselves in the NHL or playing for a future contract? |

Do you think the opposing contending in playoff contention teams brought their A game when they played the flyers? How many backup goalies did they see? Does that factor in?
Also how many of Frost points were against bottom 6 teams? Do you think that is relevant in any way? |

From Dec on he was the Flyers most consistent producer...
And the games might not have meant much to the Flyers but they certainly meant something to the opponents, and certainly meant something to Frost (and he played like it). |
