I looked around but was unable to find a comprehensive list of all the Hawk attendees at the developmental camp.
I realize lots of 2023 was there along with 2024, and undrafteds (usually brought in to fill the rest of the roster spots.)
Also I śaw that photo will all of 2023 teaching ball hockey...and I started attempting to naming the draftees but started getting dizzy when I couldn't find Russian Roman.
Anybody else take a try at naming ball hockey draftees or have a complete list o9f camp attendees? |

Yes I believe so with a top ten pick. I would guess conditional picks would mean top 10 protected - oldduffman
Yeah I have the entire explanation up on lines.com, but basically the Senators will get a selection around where the Tampa / Hawk pick for Moore was, since Boston may really not have their two retired centres back.
I just cannot imagine this trade and their farm team and new goalie / forwards will push the Red Wings past at best a final seed of the playoffs.
So the Senators get Boston's pick but it reads like it might not be, but IT WILL BE:
Detroit has the option to send their own or Boston's 2024 1st round picks. In the event the Bruins' 2024 first-round selection is a top-10 pick, Boston can retain the pick and transfer their 2025 1st round pick instead. Detroit will then have the option of sending Boston's 2025 unprotected 1st or their own 2024 1st to Ottawa.
No matter, it is going to be a mid-rounder, not 7th overall. |

I am doing a Hawk sound check:
1) Who here, was originally from the blog at the suburban newspaper site where Tim Sassone worked, the Daily Herald?
and
2) Who here, was originally from the blog done by the western Canadien lad, withheld from his friend in Ontario, The 300 Level? |

Last thought for tonight:
Oliver Moore played more than a few games with one of 2024 top prospects, Cole Eiserman as his wing.
Eiserman, like Moore, is committed to the University of Minnesota...but arriving a year later. |

Was curious about this too and all I could find was this:
https://www.bleachernatio...agazine%2FBleacher+Nation
Looks like it is probably pretty close.
Per this Kantserov was there, along with all of the draft picks this year and last. No Kayumov or Safonov, probably to be expected given the situation in Russia.
No Liam Gorman (2022 draft trade), Krutil or Saarijarvi. Longshots probably written off now.

Thanks,
It is good to see that Tam Bamford is good for something.
In the photo with the ball hockey kids, I just don't see a short haired guy like the Roman Kantserov appearance.
Also curious if he speaks much English.

Any interview I saw with Kantserov included an interpreter so I’d guess his English isn’t great, but who knows. |

Interesting, I find Paul’s posts to be “fair and balanced”. But since this is a Hawks fan blog, I guess if you do not look through ANYTHING with rose colored glasses you are a negative Nancy. Might as well just move the blog to Twitter or to Thread, or any other confirmation bias platforms that exist. - LAHawk
That seems more accurate, just saying

The Picture is becoming more clear about the haul for three of the most sought players as free agency hit
And the winner(s)
As wiz said, not to expect a lot in return for a Karlsson and DeBrincat. What about the payout for Gibson and Hellybucyk?
We just saw that Detroit was able to secure DeBrincat for a reasonable amount - actually a darn good contract for The Cat - but the Senators did not receive any kind of bounty to feel oh so cheerful.
A first round choice ….Just one and basicly the ex Blackhawk Kubalik. DeBrincat inked a four year deal to boot.
This is to be roughly the sort of package for Karlsson as well? If the Penguins obtain the dman I don’t expect they are able or willing to part ways with anything but a very same sort of value. Do you think San Jose would try to make someone like ….oh …. say Guentzel coming back. They might ask but not likely get him. Carolina has more solid players, young players and prospects than the Penguins but it is just likely a buyers market
Frankly I wouldn’t feel real comfortable with Karlsson’s achillies or whatever it is….so no premium price paid.
Now perhaps the dollars the two goaltenders get could be pretty good if you believe they are the top two available.
I have no clue where any of the remaining top players land…. Too difficult to guess…..perhaps wherever Eklund proposes bet otherwise? |

I read a follow up article that said “after originally being listed as an attendee, Kantserov will not attend and will be going back to Russia.” Pretty sure it was on the same Bleacher nation site. |

I was curious if he was there as well, as i didn't notice him in any of the prospects propoganda pictures or interviews.
I find it a bit odd that they really didn't talk about him at all, other than a tiny stretch from Dohnegy.
Makes me very nervous that he's the next Kayumov. No mention from KD or team that he wants to be in North America eventually or nothing.
Funny thing is he was at the draft.

Wow some crazy sh!t coming out about Northwestern football and Pat Fitzgerald.
https://www.nbcsportschic...-by-school-report/494251/
Lets see if all the sanctimonious Chicago sports talk show hosts give him the same treatment as they gave the Hawks organization (except for McD of course). - vabeachbear
Just as I expected, at least on the first show, go pretty easy on Fitz, lets see what comes out and we learn......., will be funny to watch it move through the next few days and weeks.
I'm still convinced they won't get the Hawks treatment, and after the story this weekend that Fitz was calling out players to get hazed, in a Hawks scenario, everyone needed to be fired immediately without any more info or investigation. |

With Debrincat signed by Detroit, does anyone think Kane eventually signs with the Wings. Only 4 1/2 hour drive from Buffalo to Detroit. |

Watching as many Steel camps I have over the last 15 yrs that some didn't have rosters I found that thru process of elimination my best chance of identifying who is who was thru the color of their helmets and pants as to which team they play(ed) for. Didn't always work but sometimes did.
Awesome to read something on the new draftees but you didn't mention any goalies. An oversight or you don't know who was playing goal? - Mr Ricochet
There was only one goalie there and he was not much taller than 6'. Had a Hawks mask on and looked like a reddish beard. I don't think it was Commesso and I think the new goalie is much taller. This practice was all about the forwards getting chances low. Might have been one of the sacrificial lambs they often use.
Personally I had a hard time taking my eyes off of Bedard. After hearing about him for the past few years, the anticipation all of last season, and watching him in Nashville at the Awards Show, Red Carpet and Draft, I wanted to watch every move.
When I saw Kane at Development Camp his first time, I thought he was only dominating with his stickhandling because the other guys were so young and that he was going to have a rougher time in the NHL but I could not have been anymore wrong about him because he did the same things immediately in the NHL. Then when his got lethal the Cups followed.
Not breaking any story you haven't already heard and seen but Bedard already has the hands and shot.
I have watched several of Waite's goalie practices over the years. One drill he uses a lot year after year requires the goalie to stop a hard rim then get to a post, take a shot then get the other psot and take a second shot. Usually Waite rims it. A coach takes one shot but the last shot is one of the players and they shoot to score, no muffins.
Fluery was in his mid 30s the year he was here and was obviously in decline but he was noticeably quicker than all the guys I had seen up till then. Always yelling and joking around while he did it as well.

Kubalik b level defensive prospect conditional 1st and 4th. Conditions of the 1st is the better of Boston or Detroit's 1st in next year's draft. Imo underwhelming return imo. - Scott1977
We got more for Dach than Ottawa got for Dinky. |

And in this case, Debrincat was able to be signed to an extension. It would be interesting to see what the packages would have been in conjunction with the rumored offers from Anaheim and NYI. |
