IMO, get a genuine 2C and either park Kotkaniemi on the 3rd line or else try to move him to Arizona. But you can't be a contender while top 6 players are still being waited on to perform at a top 6 level. Middle 6, fine. Anyway, after acquiring a 2C, then go with duos throughout the top 3 lines. 2 scorers who work well together and a 3rd wheel who complements their style.

I like the signing. Getting a guy that can score goals, skate and plays with grit and sandpaper. Coach Rod will scale his bad tendencies down, or he just won't play. Still young and has potential to only get better under the Canes' system.
