Key is better in a lot of areas

I'm thinking that K'Andre will ultimately get 3.2 million per on a two year bridge

Lafreniere gets 2.3 million on a two year bridge

K'andre 200K more than Lindgren

Lafreniere 200k more than Kakko

Do points matter or not? Because you’re saying Miller is getting $800k less than Dobson because he has one less 40 pt season but only $200k more than lindgren whose career total key had more than half of just last season

Im saying that Miller doesn't really have the right to ask for Dobson money because he only did it one year, but Im betting that he probably is asking for it

but I am just guessing that those are the numbers that both Miler and Laf will ultimately get because thats all we can afford

I just don’t know how a team doesn’t say (frank) it and offer sheet him. GMs are pussies

I think its possible yeah, IMO, K'Andre is more likely to hold out than Laf

The hard cap and the lack of the league to be daring stinks.

I see the similarities production wise, but because Lafreniere has no leverage, no arbitration rights, and evidently no prayer of an offer sheet, not sure just how much of an effect it will be regarding what we ultimately give Laf
- jimbro83

One similarity I don't see is that I have no idea who the (frank) Noah Cates is. And I know most of every team's roster. So, I'm going to say that this kid's contract has extremely little bearing on what we sign Laffy for.

Hurricanes, Devils, Bruins, Wings, Ducks, Kraken all the the cap space to offer him something that would put us in a tough spot.

Pushing aside the legacy of being a first overall pick, what has Laffy done to earn $200,000 more than KK's contract? Asking seriously. Yes, he has scored at a decent clip 5v5. But, I think they could easily sign him for $2M, possibly even a little less. Still well over double what he's been making this whole time the world has debated whether or not to label him a bust.

Cates is incredible defensively and that’s about it. He’s also a center

why would the Hurricanes or Devils want K'Andre at something close to 5 million a year?

the Bruins don't have draft pick compensation, have to sign Swayman, Frederic...

the Ducks wouldn't want to give up next year's first rounder when it could be first overall, actually we should really hope they sign K'Andre to an offer sheet

the Kraken have to sign Vince Dunn coming off a 64 point season

I'm pretty sure Detroit tying up it's first rounder as possibly going to Ottawa next year takes them out as an option, and I dont think it's in the cards for them anyway

yeah, it's possible, but however it breaks down, I predict K'Andre and Laf end up combining for about 5.5 mil next year when all is said and done

Why wouldnt the Devils and Hurricanes want to do that?

Skjei is in the final year of his contract and will be 30. They could trade him somewhere and give that money to Miller who is 23 years old.

Why wouldnt the Devils want to do this? They get to cripple us by taking one of our most promising young Dmen. They instantly look like one of the deepest and bets defensive corps in the league.

Kraken can do both, they can make enough cap space for it if they want to.

Do you think think Devils want to give the Rangers a 1st and 3rd round pick?

So why would they go after K’andre when they have Nemec and Luke Hughes as regulars next year and then mercer a RFA next year?

Ultimately the reason that there will be no offer sheet in the summer of 2023 is that each team has their own problems.

But hey if Anaheim wants to do it. I totally invite them. Come on down.

Habs can only offer deal higher than $4,290,126. that won't happen.
