Sorry but if they can’t commit to Lafreniere to a top 6 role consistently and give him a chance at top PP minutes, time to make a deal and move on. Sure his value is low but another year of stupid deployment will lessen his value even more.

The "problem" is they went to a team that wasn't tanking and weren't gifted top-six minutes. Each might and would have been better served to start in the AHL and then come up.

Suppose Tarasenko fired his agent because he wants sign with the Rangers. The agent told him I can get you much money over here and I want you sign there. Tarasenko says NYET, idc about the money and you’re fired!! Now is just waiting to see if the Rangers can get a little more money to give him, but will ultimately settle for 1.4ish for one year.

I used 1.4 because that’s about the most he could get while keeping Goodrow w/ laf getting 2.5 and Miller gets 3.75…with a 22 man roster

It really comes down to Tarasenkos greed or happiness, if wants more money he’ll go elsewhere, if he wants to be happy he play here for less he’ll be our 2RW. It’s certainly not out of the question, not as unlikely as it seems. He could be just waiting for Miller and Laf money to come in so he can get whatever is left over under the cap

His wife is a well known fashion model and is very active in the fashion community. When he was traded to the Rangers, he commented on how happy his wife was to be in NY. I suspect at this stage of his career she would prefer they stay. But it’s still a tough sell unless Drury makes a move.
