He is? He doesn't sign for 3x6 if he is a top-line player. Sure, he was a top-line player for us when we sucked and had a guy that carried the line. There were also reports that he was available at the trade deadline. Sure, could he be a top-line player on a middling team? Yeah. Not on a good team. - Slump Buster
Where would he be slotted in the Sabres roster right now?

But why does that matter? I've been meaning to ask this: for all of you that keep bringing this up, how long is too long? For example, what if this team made the playoffs 3 years ago during the Hall year. Would that change your outlook on he team? That's what I can't get my head around. It really doesn't matter if we made the playoffs for 10 straight years or missed for 10. Right now is still right now. - Slump Buster
I’d say 25 years is too long. You good if it takes the Sabres 12 more years to get to where the orioles are? |

Krebs- ? Still waiting
Tuch- Only on that has done anything yet
Levi- ?
Kulich- Looks to be a Star but hasn't played a game yet
Ostlund probably 3yrs from maybe helping us
Value will be added when they help the team do anything. - Buff36
And that's the nature of a build instead of a re-tool. You're getting lottery tickets and not NHL players. Fortunately they seem to be good at identifying prospects.

Half the players here were slotted here by JB. Sabres had talent throughout this whole little sh!t show, they just never finished it off and completed there roster. Really looking back the from when Rhino was drafted the Sabres had some talent at a bunch of slots, they just never brought in the pieces to finish the puzzle. - Buff36

I think if Quinn were healthy I leave the top 2 lines alone. This is NOT to say that I think those players are better than Sam - obviously right now they are not. I like what they had together and want to see it through.

Please answer the question - Slump Buster
Did I not?
Also if you look at the Sabres home attendance record the past few years and carrying over to this year I’d say about 10 years.
“How long will this take” It absolutely matters to every single team. It’s why most coaches in GM’s have a shelf life of about 3 1/2 years. |

6m is a 1st line RW, not even factoring in the FL factor.

Wait what is Tage now?
It was the “steal of the century” that contract Adams should have a bust maybe if his Richard at 1 Sabres plaza.
Now all of the sudden. Tage is only “a good player”

He was a top line player on the Cup finalists?
One of the best 2-way forwards in the league. - DirtyDan
He is not a top-line winger on a team that has Verhaege and Tkachuk.

You didn't answer it. So if I look at the Orioles franchise, I need to put on my "yeah, but how many years since their last playoff appearance" lenses? That matters for the right here and now? This is what baffles me. Explain it to me like I am 5.

Look at what the other legit top-line players get. It ain't 3x6.

90% of the players speculated to be traded this offseason have yet to be traded.

I have. It's right at average for a 1st line winger.

Were half of the players here? Yes. Were they "slotted"? Absofreakinglutely not. We were ready to completely blow up the roster. He picked who he wanted to keep and build around and - to the org's credit - was able to build up the kids to the point where they could slot in to where they are now. This org was a disaster the day that they fired Ralphie.

Well, if I said that - with a healthy Quinn - I wouldn't touch the first two lines.....

I’d have been all over that. |

Mittelstadt I think will eventually be pushed out whether it’s at the end of the year or after they bridge him (2-3 years).
Krebs’ seat is red hot. I believe in the player and think a jump is coming, but it’s now or never for him in this organization with the talent coming up.
Quinn and Peterka fit in the top 9, Quinn just needs to stay healthy. - Swedish_Jesus
He was tasked with playing with Larry and Larry. It's going to be never if he has to drag those two around again |
