He picked who he wanted to keep and build around and - to the org's credit - was able to build up the kids to the point where they could slot in to where they are now. This org was a disaster the day that they fired Ralphie.

That's it right there, maybe Adams is the right GM and he has done a great job of building the whole organization back up. But he will be No better then the last 3 GM'S we have had if he's not willing to add those puzzle pieces. We have a plethora of talent, and 60% of those talented players we have will never wear a Sabres uniform, we have a pretty young Core as is.
