If Florida can have Tkachuk, Barkov, and Reinhart on different lines, why can’t Buffalo produce two high end forward lines in the top 6 ?

If Vegas can have Eichel, Stone, Karlsson on three different lines, why can’t Buffalo balance their talent over three different lines ?

I’ve articulated why it may make sense to break up the top line the last few pages 🤷🏻‍♂️

the one where he was talking about using different personnel in critical situations or injuries in the top 6?
- TheSabresTaco

My suace told me Meatballs plan is to plug every situation from critical to injuries with Greenway, they will play short handed if need be, but the Don is committed to the plan.

The arguments in favor of Girgs signing with the Sabres range from, it's only 1 year to he deserves a selke for being the best individual defensive player....

in all seriousness im interested to see his first 20-30 games, to see how he acclimates and how he'll be used.

they have years of film on him, don's known him since he was a kid. I think they know what they have, and if he provides positive impact, I think that's a solid win for this management. To get an impactful player using a 2nd round pick who won't see the NHL ice for at least 3 years is a good move to make for this club.

Detroit used their 14th ranked prospect (Athletic), a top 9 forward and a deferable 1st round pick on the Cat.

Agreed. He was banged up when he got here and played at a 20 goal pace. I am optimistic that Granato can bring the best out of him

Where do you see him starting the season? What is his ceiling if it works out.

Jost and Greenway were apparently miscast in Minnesota. Just something to think about.

He's a utility forward, he's 'the third guy' when you start pairing players like don likes to do.

He's a bottom 9 forward, which at his celery is a quality player if he can perform the role he was brought here to do. A space maker who can score you 50 some odd points in the right offensive situations. I love the idea of the player, but I was incredibly skeptical upon his arrival. I've warmed up to him because I believe this org knows what they're looking at when it comes to personnel, for the exception of UPL.

He is a 3rd line winger with power forward upside, I agree with the ~50 points for a good season. I am looking to see him use his size out there, I want players in his role to be very hard to play against.

Side thought:

I was curious to know your thoughts on making him and Murray the bash brothers...Okposo can put the mighty ducks dvd in for the kids and tell Jordan and Brett they can play those roles.

Brett Murray with speed and NHL skill is Jordan Greenway.

In a world where Brett Murray can play in the NHL, that would be fun to watch.

Kudos to Kevo for recognizing that this team needs more jam-grit-glue-force-punch and he's done something about it with Johnson, Clifton, Greenway and exorcising Bryson and Olofsson.
