In a world where Brett Murray can play in the NHL, that would be fun to watch.

Kudos to Kevo for recognizing that this team needs more jam-grit-glue-force-punch and he's done something about it with Johnson, Clifton, Greenway and exorcising Bryson and Olofsson.

Johnson - had a full time concussion specialist due to his brain trauma and a doctor saying his brain looked like a mid 50's boxers brain - not sure much going on there
Clifton - will help with grit
Greenway - didn't help with grit during his time in Buffalo last season/would love to see it next season

The arguments in favor of Girgs signing with the Sabres range from, it's only 1 year to he deserves a selke for being the best individual defensive player....

given the lack of additions via trade or free agency

You're still using Jost or Rousek as a regular if you cut Olofsson. Savoie would be taking over for Quinn imo. The question is whether you think Jost or Rousek is an upgrade over Olofsson

The hits stat doesn't mean much to me, who records that stat anyway and how do they determine what a hit is?

With Greenways size and experience, he should be able to use his physicality at the right times to sway momentum of games. His presence on the ice should make his teammates more confident and the opponents second guess themselves, that's what is needed from a player like him.

one of don's jobs this fall is to help him define the player he wants to be. one of his issues is that he doesn't have a true identity. they need to hone in on that and guide him.

Why on earth would you move Tage from 1C?

The only one that wakes sense and works when moved from the first line is Tuch. Skinner is incapable of carrying a line and Tage needs to be 1c. I’d put someone with better defense on the first line
