Granato's extension salary is 1.9 mil, I assume his current one is significantly less. Rangers are giving Laviolette 5 mil a year.

Wouldnt surprise me if his number with the Rangers was well above what an assistant coach normally gets.

I think all but like 5 teams would do this with their assistants. I also dont know how much it matters right now. The starting goalies are some combo of Comrie, Luukkonen and some west island goober with 7 games to his name.
