Smith is a great PK'er too and plays a strong 200ft game. He and Malkin should be a good match.

He will never get a shot. Sullivan already has the lines written down. No changes to be made barring injury. Then you call up a top line AHL player and play him 4 minutes on the 4th line.

I watched Smiths goals last season and he seemed to do it all. Took one timers, wrist shots and had dirty goals around the net. He was a really nice addition.

It would be kind of funny if Galchenyuk lost whatever residency status he had and got deported back to Russia and then got drafted and had to fight in Putin's war . He was never an exceptional player but was pretty good for Montreal for a few seasons. I suspect that he was wasted on coke all the time by the time the Pens got him because that was when his career took a real "nosedive".
