hahaha nope. Was never sounding great.
I have had zero hope, or thinking, that there will be a magical LTIR placement and as Matchett has been saying a lot, for quite some time now, no one is walking away from 3 million. |

I mean there's not even a point in asking him to retire because we'd still have the cap hit haha. So theres no "walking away" regardless. Let's just hope around the deadline he's on LTIR. And our only route to Tatar is sending Pitlick down and signing Tatar to 1mil. That's it, there's no other options. |

Well there is one other option, but highly unlikely, he waives his NMC for a place he doesn't mind being traded to. The required combination of a team wanting to trade for him AND him being ok with going to said team, make this option highly unfvcking likely hahah |

He really (frank)ed up a good bit of things. The defense rebuild didn't work, the Carter extension was dumb, keeping Desmith as a the backup was hextarded, the Granlund trade was completely unacceptable. Rakell trade and signing is definitely his only high, the Carter trade was good, and snagging Friedman off waivers was cool. He did sign Geno and Tanger to good contracts and Rust was solid as well. - 668710
Rackell too for signings. He did a good job getting all those guys to fit. And now that Dubas got rid of most of the bad contracts we can see he did set them up for a stacked top of the lineup.
If only the system had developed a couple top none forwards I'd feel really good about this team, minus the large chance of injuries derailing the season. |

Well if your boy Poulin can come in, excede expectations and become a viable 3C that’s really the last thing we need for this team to feel legit. |

Haha yea when I mentioned Rakell I said the trade and signing was good 👍. And yea we have talked about our prospects. I think our biggest question mark is Poulin, will he pick up where he left off or will he just drop off. I have the feeling we will have a surprise forward this year. |

So I just heard that Matt Vensel interviewed Carter and he basically said they owe me 3mil and I'll be here weather they like it or not. So basically the only way we get relief is a season ending injury. - 668710[/quote

I'm hopeful Poulin is able to pick up where he left off, which I believe was right on the door to deserving an NHL spot. But I'm not confident that comes right away. Nor am I confident Sullivan will put him in that type of spot.
I would like to see DOC emerge as the 3C and I think that's more likely at least this season. I like Poulin more and Nylander and Puustinen less then many here, but DOC is really my guy. |

I think a realistic hope is him playing really well in the A and then makes the jump up. |

Earning a spot and getting one are two different things, but agree he has to play like he deserves one. Poulin and Puustinen are on their last waiver exempt seasons and that will work against them. |

Yea you're right. Probably only way is if he has earned it and then there's an injury/someone is playing so noticably bad that they have to. |
