Hextall was brought in to sabotage and rip down the roster. Sully and Hextall were never on the same page with roster construction which likely limited what Sully could do. I think that needs to be taken into context for the last 2 years. Before passing such harsh judgment on a 2-time Stanley cup winning coach I’m going to give him time this season with a GM that he’s actually working with and not against. Sully has his warts but I think we see a different Pens team now that the roster his actually constructed to his preference.
