Frost should get a 2-3 year deal at somewhere around 3-3.5M a year. |

why would you want to give him a 3 years deal? wouldn't that then walk him right to UFA?
Either go a series of 1 year deals the next 2 years. Or a 2 years deal. 3 year deal seems like the worst outcome, assuming that takes him to free agency |

Is either side even looking at a long term deal? Say 4 years or more?

what wont happen? a long term deal?
Also you remember a goalie Jakub Kovar from the 2006 draft. Any backstory on why he never came over and gave it a go? Thanks.

Will Frost continue in the top six role with power play time that he played from early December onward last season or does John Tortorella envision returning Frost to a bottom-six role with reduced power play time now that Sean Couturier is slated to return to play?
We all know the answer to this question
Coots and CA will garner top 6 minutes at the Frost's expense |

Atkinson is a winger, so at 5 on 5, that shouldn't affect Frost. There is plenty of ice time to go around. You need 3 scoring lines in today's game. |

Tortorella is Tortorella. If Couturier is healthy and plays well, he will be the #1 center. We know he loves Cates and loves defensive players. So that leaves Frost with the rest. Still should be plenty of ice time to go around. |

My concern down the middle is if Couturier is viewed as the number 1 center out of the gate. This will be his first season without Giroux. Couturier was already a lacking skater. Two and half seasons missed and will be 31 in December. My next concern is also whether or not Frost is in the top 6. So our top two centers are Coots and Cates?
I also urge people in here to watch all 27 goals from Tippett this past season. Just one heck of a wrist shot from long range. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tippett plays the left side. A lot of his goals, especially on the power play came from over there. Konency is coming off a pretty special season for himself personally but we also know he’s not consistent. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tippett was leaned on more by Torts by season’s end ahead of of Konency. |

Just saw we signed Oliver Bonk. I’ll be looking forward to traveling over to London and checking out him and Denver Barkey this coming season. |

There was only one season in his entire career where Couturier played a lot with Giroux, and that was 17-18. In the three and a bit seasons after that Couturier spent the majority of his 5on5 minutes playing without Giroux.

It's embarrassing for Briere that he apparently doesn't get to sign player contracts without having to defer to the opinions of a geriatric coach on his way out of the league, and a goofball color commentator masquerading as President of Hockey Ops. |

Let's play the line up game,
Tippett-Coots-TK
Farabee-Frost-Foerster
Laughton-Cates-Brink
Deslauriers-Poehling-Hathaway
extra-Allison,Laz if either don't get traded or sent down.
Sanheim-Risto
York-Attard
Seeler-Staal or Walker
extra, Zamula if he doesn't impress he gets waived and most likely picked up by another team. |

Not sure if this guy read his numbers, he's not big but he's quick and powerful and has a build like Ovie and scores at a pace similar. He's already well over 200lbs so sounds like he's a bit butthurt the Habs didn't pick him so he's trying to spin whatever reasoning he can to explain why the Habs didn't draft him.
Seems to me his time would better spent pumping up the reinbacher selection than trashing ours. |

I would think all GM's consult coaches first before making any move. The hate for Torts is pathetic.
Is this MJL?

Good point. You would like to believe or at least hope Frost has a longer future here than Torts. |
