we will know more when camp starts in terms of timeline for his return, he had knee surgery in mid march, no need to rush him. They say he might be ready for the start of the season or could miss just a few games

Well, if he misses a few games, he wont be ready to start the season then
they can cut a player once he is back
but yeah, no spots for Heineman or Ylonen on this team

That an definitly change and pretty fast, but he ahead of Slaff right now - Xizord
let's wait until camp/preseason, Slaf won't be behind RHP for long IMO, he could make the jump very quickly into the top 6. We should see quick improvement in his game now that he knows how the NHL works.
I hope too he can force them to move him in the top 6 ! - Xizord
you want Slaf to work hard so that he deserves a top spot on the team but you also need to give him the ice time to develop, as opposed to RHP who has most likely already reached his ceiling in terms of development... that's why I wouldn't really compare the two but I get what you're saying.
