Apparently, HV71 has given the go-ahead to Andrae to play in North America if he's sent to the AHL to start the season. The official HV71 Instagram posted a thank you to Andrae for his service to the organization and best wishes for his new adventure in his career. - bmeltzer
This is really good news. Andrae seems NHL-ready or nearly, and it sounded like such a waste for him to get sent back because of a numbers game besides being better for the Flyers to keep developing their younger defensemen in the rebuild. |

it feels like the Flyers have depth across the board, D, O and goalie, just the lack of high end talent.
How do you see the team going into the season?
Your opinion with all the depth, if the group takes another step forward this season, will DB start moving pieces to re-shape the prospect pool? Of just get more picks? He can't play them all?
Seems they have redundancy bottom 4 D and bottom 6, somewhat 6-9 on O?

I would've started by not signing a player like Hathaway and try and move Deslauriers. Good luck. |

Thank you Bill, I did not know that. This news make me happy. While I want him to play in the nhl sooner than later, I think he needs a little bit of seasoning in the ahl.
This pretty much the only social media I participated on. |

I am only sold on Walker being 100% dealt. Walker is a lock to make the top 6 as well.
For such a rebuilding tea, they make it very hard for a prospect. - hello it's me 2050
Does this surprise you? |

Booosh gets hired by TNT! Good for him! He deserves it. He's replacing Jonesy and he's a good analyst. The bad thing here is that we are probably stuck with Fartnell here in Philly. God I hope not! He is brutal. |

Gene Hart was great so why can’t Hart nell become good? Seriously though, I haven’t seen Hartnell. But I didn’t like Patrick Sharp when he started but I thought he became really good. I thought Bill Clement was a good analyst but kind of wooden as a studio host. McHugh is so extraordinary in that role. The Wild play by play guy was one of the worst in the league but they stayed with him and he’s palatable now. Do you think Hartnell could be better in time?

It seems that these stations want to try and make media guys out of guys that chatted a lot and were leaders on the ice. Some of these guys simply aren't comfortable in front of a camera. Hartnell is cringe worthy. He is so uncomfortable that I feel bad for him. Another guy that comes to mind is Messier. Obviously one of the best leaders in hockey back in the day, but terrible in front of a camera (it figures that ESPN hired him). I guess it's possible that Hartnell could be better in time...anything is possible. I thought Clement was a very good analyst and I liked his dry sense of humor. |

Why I oughtta. Yeah, Messier isn’t cut out for it. I thought Gretzky was bad but has improved. The other hosts seem to build him up and kind of help him. Some guys can’t do it. It’s kind of like some hosts can be developed and some can’t.

Boosh is great, I was really hoping he’d replace Jonsey for the Flyers broadcast. I agree Hartnell is just uncomfortable to watch. |

I think Boosh likes the national broadcast thing. I wished he would have replaced Jonesy as well.
Not sure who else I would want to be up the box with JJ.

Maybe Colby Cohen will come back? I thought he had good info, but his Mainline Philly/Valley Girl delivery was hard to take.

Well there is "NHL Ready" for successful organizations. Then there is "NHL Ready" the Flyers version, which does not kick in until a player reaches 30, especially a defenseman |

Morganti? - Dkos Morganti would be better than Hartnell, but not sure he would be interested. I think he likes the studio gig and he isn't any spring chicken anymore.

Wouldn't be surprised if the do they Diversity path and hire a woman, I am not against as long as she knows her stuff and has a personality. I have seen men and woman do sports and their lack of knowledge and/or personality makes me cringe. I still have not warmed up to Gretsky on his gig. |

Just do a rotating group of celeb analysts throughout the year. Just find famous Flyers fans. Need to sex up the broadcast because this team is going to stink.
