Well, yeah.
not to mention dvorak is better than a 13th forward. not his fault he has been forced to play above his slot. |

Newhook on the 1st line?
Lindstrom on the 2nd pairing?
Harris the 7th dman?
mmmmkay. - Pat1993
yeah, keep in mind that it is Gaston's roster.
no way Mailloux and Lidstrom play while Harris and Kovacevic do not imo
Mailloux could score 10 goals in preseason he would still head to Laval. |

Dvo surrounded by the right wingers can output 2nd line points. Best suited as a 2-B/3rd center... we can all agree. |

yeah one or the other, they won't play much unless injuries hit the dcore. or they could get claimed on waivers. they won't keep 9 dmen |

Armia (3.4M), Wideman(762.5K) DeSmith (1.8M) and a 2nd (Colorado) for William Nylander (6.96M)
Leafs free up 1M in cap space, Armia on their top 6, Wideman #2 D and DeSmith as their starter...everyone is happy.

Barron not even there!
I could see Newhook on the first line... but the rest of the lineup is crap - WaterBoy
really? damn, you have quite the expectations for him... also I think that line would be seriously lacking some weight. |

Agreed about the size.
The kid has got talent and I expect Saint-Louis to fully get the most out of him.
Not sure he's the pefect fit for that line. Anderson played some good hockey with them . Slaf? We don't know where he'll end up. (I expect him ti play with a vet like Money).
cant wait for the big camp to start. |

if Slaf gets a try on the 1st line it's because he'll have earned it, I wouldn't give him that kind of pressure from the get-go. I think Anderson could work, he may not be the most creative guy but he does have all the tools to fill in that role, even if it isn't a permanent solution.

maybe next year, he still has a lot to learn. that would not be good for his development to play him on the top line so early.
3rd line like last season, with a vet center to show him the ropes, some PP minutes... y a pas le feu. depending on how he improves this winter, he could move up, or even go to Laval! only him has the answer. |

well not if he's playing exceptionally well... I don't expect this to happen but if he's doing all the right things it would only help his development, not hinder it. |

Hmmmm...my 5 predictions:
1) Paul Byron will officially be added to the Laval coaching roster before the NHL season starts.
2) Armia will be waived and demoted before the season begins.
3) Suzuki will lead the league in shootout goal percentages. Comparisons to Datsyuk will continue, and rightfully so.
4) Despite the change in the sports medicine team, Montreal will continue (unfortunately) to lead the league in games lost to injury. The mix of players with recurring injuries on the roster combined with the damage done my the inept past team will continue to contribute to more injuries.
5) As much as I love Wifi, he'll start the year in Laval. The pugilistic style just leads to more injuries, and I think the focus will be on overall team health as much as possible. |

very interesting predictions...
so you think that hiring the physical therapist who was working for the team with the least injuries last year won't have any impact whatsoever? that would suck balls.
also, if Wifi isn't there, the habs are gonna get beat up pretty hard if they only have Anderson and Pezzetta that can drop the gloves, there are too many strong guys in the division for them to handle. |

Oh, the sports medicine crew will have a positive effect for sure... It'll just take time to undo the damage already done, and the habits ingrained. |

I would agree with you on Wifi. all the others grow up 2 inches with him in the lineup. that's a stat we do not see anywhere but which is pretty important.
I expect him to fight less often, to choose his fights, but I see him in the lineup on a regular basis. |

well, with players coming back healthy, technically there won't be any "damage" left, and the hiring was precisely to get rid of those bad habits, at a professional level that should be done rather quickly. anyways I humbly hope you're wrong
