1-Gallagher will be injured and miss half the season
2-Monahan will have a good season and be traded at the TDL, Habs will get a 2nd and a prospect
3-Newhook and Dach will find great chemistry together
4-Primeau and DeSmith will both clear waiver, Primeau in Laval, DeSmith stays with the Habs until they can trade him for another crappy contract
5-Wifi will struggle this year, will spend some time in Laval

My 5 predictions that will 100% come true unless they don't:

1: Slafkosvky will be a man transformed and end up as a regular in the top 6 and powerplay.
2: Newhook AND Dach will score over 50 points
3: Justin Barron will be a regular on the right side of the defense.
4: Josh Anderson, Sean Monahan and Joël Armia are traded during the season
5: Emil Heinemen will bump Ylonen out of the lineup.

Pas de surprise ici comme il ne sera pas au camp des recrues, mais Adam Engstrom ne sera pas au camp des Canadiens cette saison.

Engstrom me l’a lui-même confirmé. Il aura un rôle important au sein du top 4 de Rögle en Suède.

Donc une dernière saison en Suède et on s’attend par la suite à ce qu’il signe son contrat d’entrée avec les Canadiens.

My 5 predictions that will 100% come true unless they don't:

Reality is this though, cap hit for the next 3yrs, 10.5M, actual salary owed:

2023-24: Signing bonus 2M (already paid), salary 6.5M
2024-25: Signing bonus 2M due on July 1st, salary 5.5M
2025-26: Signing bonus 2M due on July 1st, salary 5.5M

If he is traded...might be after July 1st next summer, he would be owed 13M for 2yrs of 10.5M cap hit annually.

Bold Predictions:

1/ CC, Suzuki, Dach, Newhook, and Slaf will all score at least 20 goals. Gallagher will come close

2/ Monty will win more games then he loses

3/ By the end of the season Baron will be the odd-man out

4/ Monahan will not be traded, Dvorak will be

5/ The Habs will be within striking distance to a playoff spot til mid-January, before they fall back, ending up 23-26th overall
