Joey Anderson
Whenever I hear his name, I think he is someone's kid brother and not an NHL player. If he was Joseph, Joel or Joe, definitely gonna stick in the lineup. Nobody would mess with Joe Anderson. Joey Anderson just better not go in my room and touch my Lego. - breadbag
Joey Anderson's brother is LA Kings defenseman Mikey Anderson.

Oh my god. not Mikey....
Edit: just to add. Mikey Anderson looks pretty good, can we trade Joey for his younger brother Mikey? |

Not to be confused with his other brothers on the Newark No Show Jobs: Vinnie, Bobby, Antony Jr., Philly, and Paulie. |

I don’t think they are allowed as they can’t have contracts since they are in college. |

Got it, so they need to have signed a Pro Contract to attend/participate in an NHL sponsored event such as a practice, game, etc

I think Kurashev is slightly overrated. I think he is a 3rd liner.
My dark horse to make the team is Joey Anderson. He might not make the team on day 1, but he could be the first one recalled if there is an injury or someone performing poorly. - Ztra
Considering the comments from coaches thus far, my dark horse is C Dach. |

in reading some CBJ blogs, the faithful seem to be tired of Bovqist and only playing partial seasons and this could be a make it or break it season for him - yes he is young but he doesnt play a full season yet or close to it |

and the fact that they have a decent squad of blue liners, he isn't gonna stay if he hasn't improved. |

I know he said he wants to try and make the team this year.
I know he has been working on his skating.
In space, when he has the room are has a nice holster full of deceptive moves, look-offs and slick slip passes, but the feet are going to be the part he is going to have to show up to work and fix every day in order to make an NHL team.
The dating posture IS better, but he still seems to be skating with most of his weight on his heels, and he isn't struggle to push his knees over his toes to align his centre of gravity in a place that makes lightweights a chance to know him off.
Remember the criticism of Buffalo's Nylander until he became Sam Lafferty and them became the hawks first rounder in 2024 in the Toronto trade?
...where Nylander simply didn't skate with ANY crossovers?
Well, watch li'l Dach and right now after Seattle's run, I honestly do not see a NHL calibre skater. Beyond the mechanical issues, his reads are inconsistent, he stops striding on plays, and he doesn’t scan for the next play to offset his speed disadvantage. The edge work caves at the knees and he chases the play...a lot.
He lacks control and power in his shot from a poor upper-body mechanics too.
There continues to be odd flashes of offense, he seems to have little short area quickness, and his hip-knee-toe alignment has got to improve before he ever thinks he's worthy of a NHL roster spot, but I think he probably already is understanding that through the team inter-squad games. |

I’m not sure he’s overrated, I think most here who like Kurashev have him eventually slotted as a third liner. In my opinion, him and Raddysh will be 2/3 of a decent third line in a couple of years, we’ll see. |

Top 10 protected - LAHawk
To me it depends on how healthy Tampa is this season, if good health, then they’ll probably make the playoffs, any injuries to their core, and they’ll be in trouble. |

Hi Wiz, hope you’re doing well. Are you planning on going to the Hawks games down here in November? I have my tickets for the Sunrise game, although Tampa is closer and Sunrise is a good 2.5 hours from me. - Angotti

I have to agree with you here PE. As Zach wrote, the top 12 are:
~Taylor Hall Connor Bedard Ryan Donato
~Philipp Kurashev Lukas Reichel Andreas Athanasiou
~Tyler Johnson Cole Guttman Taylor Raddysh
~Nick Foligno Jason Richardinson Corey Perry
with Blackwell, R. Johnson, Katchouk and Entwistle on the bubble as of now.
From that group, in three years who will be here besides Bedard and Reichel? I can see Raddysh being extended, maybe Guttman and Kurashev if they show something the next two seasons. Most of the others will be long gone. I doubt if Hall is part of the furture. In two years at 34 he's due to fall off the cliff. I wouldn't extend him for big money.
So let's call it 4 of the above. Still need 8-9 forwards. Nazar, Moore, Dach, & Hayes lead the list with Kantserov, Misiak, Ludwinski, Greene, Marcel, and Lardis in the running. Also in 2-3 years this lineup will need a few veterans (Donato, D!ckinson, Foligno types) obtained via trade or free agency. Can't have a lineup of mostly 22-23 year olds. - boilermaker100
