For me it just comes down to if Sammy goes down is Woll a starter to carry the team? Im not sold on that and think he tops out as a backup. Jones is just the more experienced and safer play as a backup who you know can start and run a spell if need be.

Going to be jnteresting to see what they decide to do

Didnt woll do just that last season?
Woll played a lot of games while sammiw as out

Woll will definitely get alot of attention on waivers.
We dont want tampa picking him up.

Tampa needs a starter. Woll would be more the same as Levi or Wolf really. I wouldn't be that scared of Tampa with Woll as the starter honestly.

Its going to be interesting to see how they navigate this one.

Played and started a whopping 7 last season for Leafs. Did go 6-1 but... small sample size there not sure over a longer time ya know.

If Woll has to go through waivers, there's zero chance he's sent down.

This being said, Jones looked good in that first period, Habs dominated 14-5 in shots and are still losing.

Its sorta the McElhinney-Sparks conundrum over again... pick your poison. Do you take the vet or the young guy with promise..

You guys are severely underestimating that talent of Woll. He will be 1A/1B for the Leafs for the next decade

Cowan is probably better than Nylander at this point.

Trade Nylander for a top pairing Dman, and put Cowan in the lineup.

Nows the time to make a run.

Another nice win over the Habs again.

Minten, Knies, Cowan, and Gregor really look good Id say.

Yeah and Knies is a better PK'er than Marner. I mean he set up a shorty 2 games ago and scored one last night.

Got out of a bases loaded 1 out jam in the 5th too. Too bad their bullpen absolutely sucks.

Wouldn't hate a Klingberg or Jarnkrok injury for 4-6 weeks to start. That'd let them keep a full 23 man roster and get a longer look at a few guys.

Looked shakey when he played and Jones has been getting alot of long looks so far. Id pick Woll but it doesn't look like a sure thing like some think.

Woll is a servicable tender, but he will never carry a team, just not good enough to be a goalie who steals games.

I think the Lightning stand pat. They made Louis Domingue look great by outscoring their defense and crease issues. They will try the same thing with Johansson and Alnefelt. If it works, great. If not, they miss the playoffs by a couple of lost points.

They were a much better team back then. They are still very good but Vasi makes a huge difference these days
