Allison - good kid and I like his game, but, he just hasn't done enough to cement himself a spot. On a side note, it's shows increasing organizational strength when you start seeing kids push from below for a spot, this is a good sign. - Dave21Brown
This would be true if they had waived ND and not signed hathaway and poehling |

I agree on this one.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but if claimed, he must stay on the NHL roster??
Also, I have nothing against Torts. However, I do think it was the wrong hire of you intend to rebuild. His philosophy seems to try and win as many games as possible with what he has, and while admirable, doesn’t lend itself well to developing the young talent. Playing younger guys means losing a few games, and that’s just not in Torts’ style. I’d play the younger guys more, and let them take some lumps while learning the pro game.
On the other side of the coin, bringing in coaches that are supposed to be good teachers and talent developers, hasn’t worked out either. Seems like the organization has been trying to stay in the middle of the road, and that’s been a disaster.
I’d like to see them travel in one direction, and stay that course until it no longer proves fruitful. Otherwise, it will be a soft rebuild with prolonged futility.
I rarely post here due to the nonstop bickering by some posters, but giving it a shot today. - Hokeeguy9
Losing games isn’t in Tort’s style? Seemed pretty good at it last year. |

Nak and lindblom both on waivers as well. - Peter Richards
Awesome. Maybe we can put the 2020 team back together. |

So who made this decision. Torts or Brière? Car seller Jonsey said he would stay away from the meat and potatoes hockey descions. |

this guy is such a fraud car salesmen. - hello it's me 2050 Actually, I'm gonna kind of side with Torts here. Angelo has always been known as a turd, and Hayes and JVR are very soft (lazy?) players for their size. I don't have a problem with these guys being removed from the room! |

hayes was very much liked in the room. Torts didn't like that and had him removed.
Was torts not on board with the tony d trade? Tony d also well liked in the room.
Not shocked at all Wade cleared. He is a dime a dozen player that every team has their own of similar ilk. |

Say what you want, but this team was a very soft team prior to Torts' arrival. I'm for letting the young guys play, but I don't have a problem with softies like Hayes and JVR being set free. I also thought Angelo was a very selfish player here last year. He was constantly roaming around up ice and leaving his defensive partner hung out to dry. |

Do you have proof that Torts did not like the fact that Hayes was well liked in the locker room, and the same with TDA?
Hayes was turning into a defensive liability and was a turn over machine. TDA was horrendous for most of the season.
The team is better off without them.
Who brought TDA in, fletch or torts?

Ridiculous! Hayes was removed because he is not that good and plays too much east west which Torts hates? |

Hayes, JVR and DeAngelo were well-liked in the room. (It's almost impossible to dislike JVR the person, FWIW).

I have no problem with Poehling, since he is 24 years old.
