I would be surprised if he isnt claimed to be honest.

I also think that his head would have to be half off or a limb dangling by skin for him to report an injury from here on out if he stays in the organization.

Just curious, what made Allison such a tough interview? He comes off as an affable unpretentious guy in the interviews I’ve seen. I hope, for his sake, he gets picked up and has a chance to play in a better situation for him…though I do have doubts that he’ll be able to hold up physically. He was a lot of fun to watch when he was playing full out.

Wow….that injury list is something to behold. He’s has the talent to be a decent top 9 power forward in the NHL. But I have to believe any team that would take him will do so knowing the chance are he may never be a constant, reliable option. I wouldn’t be shocked either way, if he actually gets claimed.

Allison - good kid and I like his game, but, he just hasn't done enough to cement himself a spot. On a side note, it's shows increasing organizational strength when you start seeing kids push from below for a spot, this is a good sign.

I feel bad for Allison. On the one hand, when he's on his game, he's got NHL talent and skills. On the other, he seems to be made of crystal. I hope for him that he does not clear waivers and he gets a real shot somewhere else and is able to stay healthy. If he does clear, and I doubt it, he'll be a good callup when needed.

Time to move on and look forward to Brink and Foerster becoming bigger parts of this team as they grow. We're likely to see more vets getting moved over the course of the season and the youngsters begin to grow into regular NHLers.

There will be players of his ilk cut all over the league. I’ll be surprised if he’s claimed

I hope Allison lands on his feet somewhere. He's running out of chances mainly because of injuries. On another note, I saw that Oskar Lindblom was also put on waivers. I feel bad for the kid. Seems as if he has never been the same player since he had the cancer.

Hey, look, if you wanna be a leader you've gotta show leadership. Having your dog crap all over Mr. Snider's logo on your avy, you're not endearing yourself to any potential voters. Just sayin!!

Most likely true. But it seems there's always a player or two that gets a shot and ends up having a decent season to resurrect their careers.

It would be interesting to see a list of players that have been waived, were picked up, and then had good careers to follow. It seems like this happens with goalies more frequently.

The dog crapping on the logo was just cosmic karma!

I agree on Laughton, it’s time to move in from him so we can play the kids. Laughton should get the flyers a good return given he is coming off his best offensive season. But at this point the flyers have enough veterans in their lineup, they need to make room for the kids here now and to come. Next year Gauthier will be coming in so we need a spot for him.

Hopefully Atkinson can stay healthy and produce so he too can be shipped out as well.

Just laconic... "Yup", "I guess so", "Working on it" kind of replies, without elaboration.

Social anxiety, not a natural comfortable setting for him, I imagine. Just guessing.

What’s that have to do with Lindblom? I put that avatar up when that incident happened. I took it down soon after and people complained. The people spoke and I listened.

I agree on this one.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if claimed, he must stay on the NHL roster??

Also, I have nothing against Torts. However, I do think it was the wrong hire of you intend to rebuild. His philosophy seems to try and win as many games as possible with what he has, and while admirable, doesn’t lend itself well to developing the young talent. Playing younger guys means losing a few games, and that’s just not in Torts’ style. I’d play the younger guys more, and let them take some lumps while learning the pro game.

On the other side of the coin, bringing in coaches that are supposed to be good teachers and talent developers, hasn’t worked out either. Seems like the organization has been trying to stay in the middle of the road, and that’s been a disaster.

I’d like to see them travel in one direction, and stay that course until it no longer proves fruitful. Otherwise, it will be a soft rebuild with prolonged futility.

I rarely post here due to the nonstop bickering by some posters, but giving it a shot today.

It has nothing to do with Lindy, just a casual observation is all.
