If Sweeney just stayed on the board and went with consensus BPAs in 2015, he would have had Connor and Barzal. |

Sucks about Zboril but he is what he is at this point. Kinda wish he would have got claimed and have a chance to play somewhere.
Hats of to the young kids for competing for a spot. They had to make some tough waiver choices and I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of them got claimed.
Greer on waivers makes me sad. Part of me did want to see what a Lucic - Beecher - Greer 4th line might do. Oh well though. Lets get this interesting year started. |

I think it's time with Zboril and Steen. Hopefully Greer is not claimed and returned to Providence. |

And who would be removed from lineup to make CAP room for them?
Might have been able to trade one for other assets, but no way bruins could afford to add both.
(Maybe Barzal puts up better numbers on the Bruins - but - I'm glad Bruins are not shelling out 9.5M for a 70pt player)

It's just a base and lazy take that has been beaten to death. |

Lohrei sent down yesterday. Probably for the best. Will be fun to keep track of how he does in providence this year.
I guess Gryz's job is safe for now. |

I dont doubt it. Im glad hockey is finally back. Really curious to see what the final lines will look like opening night.
Any bets on where Poitras will land. With marchand and Debrusk, or Geekie and Frederic? |

I saw some scuttlebutt that Sweeney was working the phones to deal a D man and fit Lohrei into the opening day roster. He'll be up soon enough I think. Mitchell made the team along with Beecher and Poitras |

They have Beecher, Poitras, Coyle and Zacha listed as the center with Geekie as a forward.
I'm guessing:
Marchand - Zacha - Pastrnak
Debrusk - Coyle - Frederic
JVR - Poitras - Geekie
Lucic- Beecher- Lauko
McAvoy - Gryz
Lindholm- Carlo
Shattenkirk - Forbort
Mitchell
Ullmark
Swayman |

My two cents on what I would like to see.
Debrusk - Zacha - Pastrnak
Marchand - Poitras - Frederic
JVR - Coyle - Geekie
Lucic- Beecher- Lauko
McAvoy - Gryz<-----Would prefer Lohrei instead but Gryz for now.
Lindholm- Carlo
Shattenkirk - Forbort
Mitchell
Ullmark
Swayman
Also alternatively switch debrusk and Frederic. That would also be ok with me.
Something tells me it will likely be JVR with Zacha and Pasta though. Coyle will get his top 6 shot with debrusk and marchand and they will make Poitras work for it centering the third line to start with Frederic and Geekie. |
