But people wanted Frost gone, not be resigned. Just confusing.
- WhiskeyMan

You'll have to elaborate because I don't recall many, if any, wanting Frost gone.

Does the fact that more Flyers games that were once being broadcast for the local fans are now only available through subscription services... and as I understand even being blacked out for some Flyers fans who are subscribed due to rules made up by the providers... bother anyone else?

Our STM account pays the Flyers for a full season of games... we have for over fifty years now... and split the games in equal halves games wise. In the not too distant past, we were able to watch just about all the games that were not the ones we attend... both home and away ones..., now there are games we cannot watch, and apparently even if we were to subscribe to other services due to their restrictions... I might have to now select games based on subscription basis... but then I'd hurt my partner.

Doesn't the Flyers have a moral obligation to provide their fans an opportunity to watch all their games? I do understand that in a free commerce society they have the right to do as they well please? ... Although the mighty NFL fans are guaranteed the right to be able to view ALL the games of their local teams.

I know my rant is basically Rhetorical, and meaningless... but I felt it had to be said. I hope they win tonight in the forest where all but about actually 20K local fans see them win (including subscribed fans actually allowed to l view) but I sadly will not be allowed to be one of them.//Rant

Okay, let me see if I understand this…Frost is sitting because Torts won’t scratch anyone else, even for a single game. Too much for any other young forward to be in a scratch rotation or for any veteran to miss a game because they are old and have “earned it”…this must be the most mentally-weak twelve forwards in the league. Frost is the only one mentally strong enough to handle being a scratch, and he just has to keep it up because of the weaklings. Right, Torts?

Flyers fans should wear white at the next home game in support of the mentally-powerful forward in the press box. Frosty ☃️

Anyone else see the hypocrisy when the NHL and NFL suspend players for gambling, an industry that partners with the leagues, and you can’t watch ever the pregame without all the betting apps being advertised?!?! Unless Pinto bet on games where he could impact the outcome, it should be a nonissue.

So Frost is benched again. Andrae sent down to the Phantoms and replaced by a veteran AHL player or a veteran NHL journeyman? Am I reading this correctly or am I missing something?

It's more about protecting their sponsorship partners and keeping the illusion that their games have integrity.

Maybe Torts has a prop bet on how many games Frost will sit in a row.

I don't have a problem with Andrae going down. He was being overwhelmed. I think his confidence may be on the verge of collapsing. Send him down to get up to speed and get used to the NA sized rinks.

This is a case where the kid is not ready for the NHL IMO.

I heard a rumor that the Jody Shelley suite has been renamed the Morgan Frost suite.

I would disagree that all the young defenseman aren’t ready for even a third pair role, thinking of Ginning and Attard. We’ll see what happens with Zamula who looks good. They all will make mistakes, that doesn’t automatically mean that they aren’t ready.

The last game on Hulu was blacked out when I logged in as myself. I then logged in as someone who lives out of the area and got the game. Same account, different user names.....

I live in Western Canada and used to get the Center Ice package from Shaw. It sucked.

So I couldn't get any Philly home games, because they were being shown by Comcast, I believe, and I live outside of the viewing area. I couldn't get Philly away games because the home team in those games had the same type of viewing agreements. No NBC games either. I couldn't view Canuck home games, not that I care because I wouldn't anyways, because of blackouts to force you to go to the games live. Except I live 4 hours ,travelling one way, away from Vancouver. I could get maybe 10 Canuck away games, that weren't being shown by TSN or Hockey Night in Canada, all for over $200.
I found a great steaming site, and watch every Flyers game, home and away, plus KHL, AHL and SHL games too.

This whole ESPN+ to watch the flyers is annoying. Already two games this season have required a subscription. I am not buying ESPN+ in addition to my Xfiinity package just to watch flyers games, as I am not interested in other things on that channel.
I suspect that ESPN+ os going to end up decreasing hockey viewers over time.

- MRK66

Completely agree with you there. I would assume that's also a big hurdle for people with limited budgets and elderly, who are not that techy.

Shame om team owner Comcast corporation for not allowing the games to be viewed through cable locally.

Well, nowhere did I say all. Ginning has had a whole season playing in the NA sized rinks and is 23. Attard has played his whole career in the NA rinks and is 24.

Andrae is 21 and has played 14 games in the pros. He clearly needs some time at a lower level to get acclimated.

I'll translate that. He doesn't have a good answer or he's not going to admit that he's being irrational.

Pretty sure both of your suggestions are correct.

It's a part of $400 million Wells Fargo center renovation project... The same project that removed "perpetual" bricks paid by fans from the walkways.

Exactly, yet with open slots the Flyers chose to recall the NHL journeyman and AHL vet.

From what I've seen of Andrae so far. He's not ready. Needs a half season or perhaps even a full season of AHL hockey.
