Bingo.
Youth, enthusiasm, speed, skill that is what is need to play say 12 minutes a night against top lines to keep up with them..not slow, plundering guys that can only play 6 minutes a night against top lines. - IonSabres
Would Love to see the Sabres just roll 4 lines of Speed. They have some good young players with good 200ft games. Let the other team worry about match ups. And if you want a bit of ruggedness on your 4th line than Kozak is the perfect 4C |

Tuch is such a good player for this since he can go in all situations, but I’d want my 4th line to be guys who can eat minutes against top lines to free up the players you mention to play against the other teams worse lines.
Prime LOG line would be incredible on this team right now
I guess it’s possible you could get that from young players but seems kind of risky - robz228
This kinda never happens though.

13-8-2
Levi and UPL look solid. Benson stays. Savoiy sent down. Ollofson never plays for the sabres again - ZiggyBuff
That would be great. A 9-3-2 month would catapult the team into a playoff position IMO.
For me, expecting marginal improvements month over month, along with the added spark in the Sabres away games I have them at 7-6-1 for the month. That gets them to 11-11-1. They get there if:
- Goaltending plays slightly above average - I don't know what the plan would be other than to just ride the hot hand so for now, keep UPL in.
- Powerplay finds its form again.
- They don't collapse with the lead and play consistent team defense

At the time, I was a little surprised you were so supportive of this pick. Just felt like you'd be more into what Beniers brought.
They should have picked Luke Hughes though, said two people on the (frank)ing planet, and still do.

But why is he so bad with the PP - ImThatGuy
Cause he's not Luke Hughes and our PP (frank)ing stinks.

Avs money line

I have never bet against the Sabres before. But today seemed like easy money - Sabretooth9

At least I have been a Colorado fan since they moved to Denver in 1995, so when they win tomorrow I can still enjoy the game. - Jet Jaguar BD

Well 9 games in, the Sabres are ranked
10th OA in GAR
17th OA in xGAR
Last year they were 21st and 22nd respectively.
Sabres so far this year are getting + goaltending as a total, so the team defense and goaltending competency is rising together at a similar rate.
These two, maybe one combined, thing is the biggest thing we needed to see this year in order to make the next jump. So far it's happening.
They now need to reconfigure their powerplay or start coaching it or some poop. Like, Jesus. |

Nah I hated that “never draft a D top 5” funky narrative.
I also thought there were so many lazy comparisons to Myers and Bogo.
Power and Dahlin will absolutely be the best pair of D men on the same team the league has seen in quite some time |

agree on all points. I didn't see/remember that narrative in here. But it's stupid.
I never saw the Bogo comparison either but the processing power between the two of them is an i9 and intel pentium.

Think they have been playing good since the calgary debacle minus 3rd period of the Devils game.
They definitely had some back puck luck. Seems like that is changing. Our forwards that we thought sucked at defense are actually pretty good when effort is there.
Lots of positives with what we are seeing. We lose a game and people just bash a player or coach or GM.
When i think everyone in the lineup has been playing good minus Okposo,Krebs,Olofsson and maybe clifton. Think clifton just needs some time.
Goalie is the key going forward but with the defense we have been playing i think we should see average goaltending. |

If they can tread .500 while they learn to make the adjustment to a full 200' game, they have a chance. |
