As Marty says, all teams use 3 goalies in the NHL these days. Good foresight by KA. Really stayed out in front of it. Worst thing about tomorrow is it’ll be an RW vs a Western Conf team.

Teams could use 6 goalies in one year but it doesn't mean 3 of them should take up valuable NHL spots. That's what the minor leagues are for. All this dumb move did for them is screw the fukk out of some kid who needed a break.

Problem with goaltending now is the same as it has been for many years. This team has been a defensive nightmare for a long time and have left many goalies wondering why they wanted to be here.
Top D is weak defensively, top forwards are weaker defensively. Players signed to be defensive stalwarts are weakest defensively.

Yep, I have been pushing to see this kid for awhile. I wanted to see him get games last year so he could work on those dark areas in the post season and offseason. Ridiculous that we have to watch the Void in the Top 6 when there's better in the system.

Well been talking with you and a few about the wealth of talent and if we want to see even a 1/4 of them in a Sabres uniform that Buffalo is gonna have to use a unconventional 4th line. Just so many and it's a good problem that can become a bad problem if these young players aren't used right. Evaluation's will be a priority and trades will need to be made. There getting to the point where they won't be able to properly evaluate time wise because there are so many and the Sabres already have a very young team. Adams can't keep kicking the can, he's starting to put himself in a corner.

Ryan Johnson would be it.

The rest need at least another season, if not more, to be ready.

They badly need a trade for another true top 4 quality defenseman.

I'd also like to see a trade (Adrian Kempe, Nick Paul type) or UFA signing for a more well rounded type forward.

He could be the veteran, all around forward that could potentially put them over the top.

But I was dismissed by several on this board when I suggested some of these guys could start off on the 4th line, but signing SirFallsDownAlot, Okslopoke, Jost effectively blocked that from happening.
Geniuses are rarely understood by their contemporaries.
