Ottawa loses 1st round pick for role in invalidated Dadonov trade.

Could be 24, 25 or 26. They have Detroits this year as well as their own(for now)

Pierre Pierre'd the trade by filing the trade with the league without consulting the agent because of the existence of Dad's NTC

I do wonder how this form of negligence differed from the Coyotes "gross negligence" as Bettman put it, and why Ottawa gets to choose its year instead of just being the 2024 pick.

they did not tell Vegas they gave Dadonov a NTC before they traded him to Vegas

why Ottawa gets to choose its year instead of just being the 2024 pick.

my guess is because the season already started and if it was sept 1st instead on november 1st, the pick would have been 2024

They upgraded the nachos because the plan was to hoard prospects and call it experience by hanging out with the Sabres. They never even acknowledged our complaints.

Maybe they considered what Arizona did as trying to gain a competitive advantage, while they categorized what Ottawa did more as negligence?

What I don't understand is how Ottawa kept it a secret from Vegas, when Cap Friendly had the NMC on their site. How does Cap Friendly know, but Vegas doesn't. Willfully ignorant?

Furthermore, Dad's agent reached out to them about this when the news broke. Vegas tried to go through with the trade anyways. What's the penalty for knowingly trying to circumvent a NMC by the host team? Should be more than hiding it from a team that wasn't on the list, I would think.
