You could write for the Hockey News but his term, 20-team no trade on top of his salary (the Chuck special - Term & salary & NM/NT) meant that he was going to be a flyer at least through June 30th, 2024.

The Deslauriers signing was the one most fans found particularly maddening. Not because Deslauriers can't produce the same numbers as Gaudreau — that much is obvious — but because of his bizarre four-year, $7 million contract that includes a 20-team modified no-trade clause. His $1.75 million annual cap his is far above the market value for a checking-line enforcer, and paired with his no-trade clause, Deslauriers is essentially untradable. - Flyers_01
does anyone - anywhere disagree w this?

Unless the team eats half or more then he is a flyer until his contract is over.

Just send him to the Phantoms. Save $1.25mil on the cap that way. More savings than retaining in a trade.

Poor kid. He’s snake bit with injuries. Either that or Torts little brother is coaching and doesn’t like him. |

I’m pleasantly surprised it lasted less than 10 games |

But Torts can create new ones. Move Farabee down for the FFF line. Rename Couturier’s line the CAT line.

MJL is the expert on this but I don't think that much comes off the books.

3 years left, not sure there will be any takers, but I agree. I hope he scores 10 goals and a dumb GM wants him at the TDL. - wcorvette
I haven't looked but he can't have many left? I was thinking 2, tops. |

Well, have a bye-week in my adult league, be nice to sit outback and watch the game with my boy. Just give me a good game.
ND, only way he doesn’t play is if he is hurt or they’re close to the playoffs and Torts has no choice. |

Not sure what the love for ND is but a smart GM would trade him and take that option away from Torts. He is a role player and nothing this team needs, and the salary he takes up could be better utilized.
Funny thing is this team still reeks of trying to get into the playoffs mentality. Things will never change i guess. - Flyerloon
They made such a big deal about how ND was more than just a goon, he would be a key penalty killer, yada yada yada.
1 year in and they already had to go out and get Hathaway and Poehling to replace ND on the PK. ND hasn't played a single second SH so far this season.

Completely agree. I am not throwing him under the bus but he's been really bad and likely due to not playing any games. I think he's got a bright future but can't sit all the time. It's why I think Sandstrom would have been a better selection as backup out of camp. - Hextall271
Torts basically said the ersson is the back up and ersson needs to get used to it and find a way to be ready for games.
He refuses to let him warm up in the AHL and he refuses to play sandstrom |

It's not his fault. His app told him to do it, right after he played nhl 23 and ND scored a hat trick on his fantasy team |
