They made such a big deal about how ND was more than just a goon, he would be a key penalty killer, yada yada yada.

1 year in and they already had to go out and get Hathaway and Poehling to replace ND on the PK. ND hasn't played a single second SH so far this season.

This where the GM comes in. Do we have one?

Sandstrom needs to get used to it also I guess.

- MJL

If DB has to constantly come in to put torts in check then I think we all know what needs to happen.
Torts likes to play god behind the bench and skull freak the players

What are the expectations now that Frost is back in lineup?

Is Andrae injured? I saw he went down this weekend. Not sure of severity.

you can bury 1.125 I believe. So that would be the savings no? His cap hit would then be 625k

Alex stein #99 coming in hot with his comment

Alex Stein #99: I can’t believe this Isreal Palestine stuff is starting to bleed over into hockey….no one wants to watch Hamas on Ice…we must stop the violence now!

Wow. That was almost too soon
He's gonna hear it after that comment 😂

Oh no, now we move on to how much he sucks because he didn't dominate the game after sitting out 5 straight games.
- MJL

6 straight games but who's counting. Hey, as Torts said today, its up to a professional athlete to be ready to play when called upon. You are already making excuses for Frost before he has even played a shift

Seriously, I hope he does well tonight and stays in the lineup, it does no one any good for Frost to be sitting at this point.

The shine on the Flyers new found energy 4th line sure wore off quickly. Nickname and all. Tortorella starting games with the line. LMAO
- MJL

That line is one of the highest on the team in terms of generating chances, but to no surprise, they can't finish. What I wonder is how long will Laughton tolerate playing 10 minutes a night. My guess is he will be out there on the PK so that will bump him up to about 13 minutes or so, still low for him IMO.

keep it here, as long as Frost gets the same rope as the rest, there is no issue, fair?

LOL

What exactly is GM Laughton going to be tolerating? You told us he wouldnt be sent to the 4th line because he wouldnt stand for it, yet here we are.

Tell us how this bottom 6 player making 3 million a season is going to be dictating lineups to Tortorella? Or is he just going to go all the way to the top and knock down Jonesy's door. Or just decide he isnt going to tolerate it and skate out on the ice when he feels its his place to do so.

Maybe he will just hold out and demand he be moved up or throw a tantrum in the tunnel?

Is there a difference between how the team played last season to this season? Are they more aggressive, playing faster? It does seem Torts has told the D to go.

that said we are at that point of the season "the wheels fall off"...

Even if Laughts successfully earns a presidential favor, Jonesy will still have to run it past his boss: John Tortorella.

Carolina is going to truck us tonight. They’ve been playing well of late. Really no excuse to have lost that ducks game.

Why do I feel like he's been here longer? Is his no trade/move clause still intact?

You badly misread the comment. It's not an excuse, it's actually a forewarning for the irrational and uninformed comments that are sure to follow if he doesn't have a great game. From sources such as yourself.

No they're not. Laughton doesn't have a choice. Same way Frost didn't have a choice.
