Hey Ek. What happened to the Wild blogger? Blogs for 8 years. Then abruptly signs off. Didn’t you and Dan grow up together? He must have gotten a helluva an offer to walk away.

Karlsson is selling jerseys and putting butts in the seats in Pittsburgh. Ownership has 4 superstars, 3 of which will retire in Pittsburgh and sell jerseys and merch for years to come.

The rebuild was always going to be painful to Pittsburgh. They haven't made more than like 3 first round selections in the past 10 years. Everyone knows the closet is empty.

Really? He had some quality content. So how many teams are without a blogger now? Seems like a lot now.

Hopefully they are not ending up in Joe Pesci's trunk.

I’m not tracking teams without bloggers. But it’s not rare to see posters asking for a blogger for their team. You’d probably make a good blogger. You seem to know a lot about a lot of teams and are able to break things down with critical analysis. But then again that kind of analysis can turn e3s into e zeros.

I got a good laugh out of that one. Judging from your posts you'd be a pretty good candidate to take over the MN blog.

I appreciate the vote of confidence. But I don't have any insider sources. So I wouldn't have any actual rumours. Would just be logical deduction. Stuff like...Team A has no cap space and numerous NMCs/NTCs, or otherwise albatross contracts. So realistically their roster is set until the offseason.

For a team like Minny, this season and next season are simply to build a foundation, and allow guys like Kaprizov, Boldy, Rossi, Eriksson-Ek, Faber, Wallstedt to develop. After that, they get $13M of dead cap space back and can then be more aggressive at adding pieces to this core. Unless Rossi has a leap to become a 1C, that would be the elusive piece to become a legit contender after this 2-year dead cap period. Would a guy like Stamkos be a target if they can open up some space this summer? See. That's easy.

It’s ironic that you and Cooleus should be posting side by side. I think both of you are elite in analyzing stuff in a clear concise manner. Too bad you post so infrequently. Too bad Cooleus’ posts have a way of vanishing into thin air.

As for the Penguins... Yeah, it's taken a bit of time to gel. But, you can't blame the new players when this has been a theme for 4 years now. Huge defensive breakdowns that cost them.
