Detergent. Nobody will take liberties with 34 16 91 88. They haven’t yet this year but seasons prior have since game 1. That 36 yr old isn’t the solution to the team being a better built roster but he is the solution to the problem: how do we with such a soft lineup protect our Top Expensive Fancy players from being harassed game after game.

Now Tre needs to figure out how to fix the roster. If you fix the middle 6 it trickles and the 4th isn’t the issue.

He can't (frank)ing play hockey. And he's clearly not deterring anything. He's not even responding to what he isn't deterring. Your argument does not hold water, AT ALL.

After last nights game, it honestly makes you miss the Colton Orr and Frazer McLaren days. The team wasn't good enough to go anywhere but man did those two not let anyone take liberties and (frank) were they fun to watch....

Anaheim Ducks coach Greg Cronin has been fined $25,000 for unprofessional conduct directed at the officials that resulted in a game misconduct at 19:25 of the second period of NHL Game No. 132 on Monday, October 30, the National Hockey League announced today.

Bertuzzi, Domi, and Reaves should all be in the press box tomorrow.

Brad Marchand (of all players) carelessly breaks Liljegrens ankle, then goes on to be a huge difference maker in the game.

This team makes me puke. Zero pushback.

All three of those players played with snot there whole careers on other teams, but as soon as they put on the Leaf jersey its been crickets. I don't get it and im not sure what the prob is at all. Is it coaching, the system in place, are they being reeled in or have they just all of a sudden became soft as butter....

He wasnt on the ice, how would he be able respond?
Reaves should have been put on the ice the next shift.

The soft part of this team is Keefe. Plain and simple.

Every player on this team, whether they were pounding massive hits on their last team, only does a fly by stick check like an old woman swinging her hand bag.

Keefe is determining the style of play on the ice and that's why Dubas, small/skilled/speed GM, hired him in the first place. They thought they cracked the Davinci Code of Hockey. They didn't.

This team will be soft as slime until Keefe is replaced.

So tired of seeing teams, who's stars are making less then ours, throw big hits like Pastarnak against Rielly last night and our team flings sticks and cowers like an abused spouse.

(frank)ing lamest, pooptiest hockey being played while the mega stars age out or get too expensive.

BREAK.UP.THE.CORE.AND.COACH.NOW They're not going to get it done and will just keep walking due to CAP issues.

Nylander for Peeke, Booner (have to give to get)

Brodie and Robertson for Zadorov.

Knies, Matthews, Marner
Bertuzzi Jenner, Tavares
Gregor, Domi, Jarnkrok
Holmberg, Kampf, Reaves

Rielly, Zadorov
McCabe, Peeke
Gio, Klingberg

Woll
Sammy

And then any coach that likes his team to play a "heavy" game.

Because people see highlights and then think they are getting real "tough" and "power forwards". There's a reason Bertuzzi and Domi haven't found real homes on any team.

Reaves was decent at this job once upon a time.

Leafs response last night was embarrassing. I get criticized for being "too critical". But you (frank)ing tell me something. How can you be a proud fan of that? It's been year after year after year of the same (frank)ing poop.

Exactly!!!! I have to walk around town with everyone knowing I’m a Leaf fan, and they laugh at the Leafs. Mostly because they have zero spine! I’ve said before, I’m good with losing, I’m not good with losing and zero spine! I’m not a hockey player and too old to play anyways, but give me league min wage and I’ll go over the boards and answer the bell for that crap, these punks won’t. To me it’s coaching! We need Quenneville. Get some stinking pride in the jersey! I’m embarrassed to wear it.

Reaves had one shift in the 3rd against Marchand and you could visibly see that Marchand was actually scared. Didn't do anything good that shift.

Core still isn't the problem (even if Marner is playing nowhere near as good as he needs to be) and trading a top player in the league for piddles hurts the Leafs so much more. There's a whole heck of a lot of giving in that trade and basically no getting.

Fire the coach. Should've been done in the off-season when Brunette was available.

Robertson needs to be called up and given ice time. It's time. Sit one of Gregor (who I think actually started playing better last night), Holmberg, Domi, or Kampf. THAT BEING SAID- if they do want to move on from Robertson, trade him to Columbus for Kent Johnson. Give both a fresh look.

Let Reaves be Reaves. Stop coaching him to ineptitude. Let him be a piece of poop on the ice, instead of a sack of poop.

Nah. Should never be allowed in the NHL again.

Especially not with this franchise. Couldn't care less how good a coach he was.

Never saw Domi as a good fit but I still think Bertuzzi gets going. On Reaves - I think people are being lazy with their narrative.

Statistically, as a 4th liner ..

- he was very good last year with Minny
- he was not very good the year before with NYR
- he was outstanding the 3 previous years with Vegas

He's really not a goon. He drops the mitts 3 or 4 times per season. He hasn't put up big PIM's in years. When things are good (4 out of the last 5 years) ...He skates hard, hits hard, energizes the bench and helps his coaches get the most out of the the real hockey talent on the bench.

That Minny game earlier this year was a good example. Minny came out flying and were all over the Leafs. Big open ice hit ...dance with Foligno ...Leafs start moving their legs.

I'm not sure he still has it this year ..I'm not sure if the Leafs are a good fit ...but here's a good piece with some thoughts from winners like McCrimmon and Guerin and Doug Armstrong about why they love Reaves.

Should have had an over/under on winning percentage after 10 games and whether or not people would want to fire Keefe. .600, I would have said probably no people would not be talking about firing the coach if they were 5-3-2. Probably would have said it would take .500.

Hiring a guy who covered up sexual assault would lend pride to the jersey?
