From last blog because I clearly did not type fast enough before the new blog was up.....

Marchand is a POS.

Wes McCauley exemplifies all that is wrong with NHL Officiating.

The Leafs lack of response to Marchand's dirty AF slew foot with a stick on Lilly is nauseating AF.

Sammy looked good - really good actually.

Reeves is what he is - I don't subscribe to the narrative that he is the worst player to play in the NHL and at best a beer league player. I have to think he has been told he doesn't get to decide when it's time for him to go all face punchy in a close game it's his coaches. I sure as Fak hope so anyway.....

One thing I think most people agree on is that the team's lack of response to the Lilly play is inexcusable but where the blame lies on that is (IMO) partly coaching sure ok. That being said where the (frank) are the 4 guys wearing the god dammed letters on their jerseys who are supposed to be the leaders?

Starting with the captain.

I am a JT fan BUT if he isn't going to show true leadership then he needs to get out of the way. Marner, Matthews and Mo should have done more but those guys essentially take their cue from JT.

They need someone in that leadership team who can lead not only in professionalism and media relations and community engagement etc. but also in on ice performance.

Scoring, setting the tone and standing up for your teammates etc.

Someone here mentioned Stammer and he's a perfect example - he will drop the mitts and the rest follow.

Christ even Dion Pheneuf (whom I was not a huge fan of) would have at least thrown a cheap shot, fought and done something last night.

I know they won't take the C off of JT it's too much of a story for the media but maybe one of the other guys wearing an A need it taken off? My vote would be Marner loses his "A". It makes no sense to do it until you have someone to take it on who will do what needs to be done and I'm not sure the Leafs have that player on their roster today.

So god dammed frustrating to see the same BS happen against the same teams who get it right.

I think Keefe will end up canned but I don't think that solves the problem to be honest. Unless they go full Reggie Dunlop and get a player coach who can go show them what to do on the ice by doing it themselves.

I'm honestly very glad that fans of other teams agree with this.

Because the (frank)ing morons on TV are basically one step away from saying it was a great play.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been dodging bullets in the last week with defensive injuries, whether it be Jake McCabe having a minor day-to-day groin strain or Timothy Liljegren bouncing back after an upper-body injury suffered on Saturday, but in their 3-2 shootout loss to the Boston Bruins on Thursday, the Leafs suffered a serious GSW, as Liljegren suffered what appeared to be a serious lower-body injury late in the first period after being can-opened by Bruins forward Brad Marchand.

Forgive me, what's a GSW?

It's either Golden State Warriors, which makes no sense.

Or a Gun Shot Wound, which also makes... not that much sense.

Especially to their captain, I’ll be impressed if they even “review” it

Some are saying its a "hockey play" but no you don't stick your stick between someones legs going 15-20KM an hour going into the boards.

Nothing will happen but plays like this should get a game every time.

Again the NHL suspends a player 41 games for money related things but lets it slide when a player hurts someone on a boneheaded play.

Its not changing but its something fans are allowed to be frustrated about.

Lilly had lots of family and friends waiting to watch him in Sweden in a few weeks.

The once in a lifetime opportunity is gone now because of a POS player.

I don't doubt Marchand has a heart of gold off ice but I don't care about that if he is a Richard human being on the ice.

Thats like a guy robbing a store but saying its okay thats not who I really am because I have a mask on!

I don't care if the Leafs lose that game, Keefe should have let Reaves unleash on him and beat him the (frank) up.

It's all Reaves fault.

Cuz, this team needs more soft. Just please get a 4th line/8 min a night player that plays as soft as the rest. PLEASE!

Then the Ws will pile up!!!

I'll honestly be shocked if Parros does his job here. And that's not a good way to think about the leagues justice system, but here we always are with this idiot.

Frankie Corrado did it all himself his first year in Vancouver.

Just ask Canucks fans.

Need more 'Murican's growing up in Toronto, I guess.

Don't tell the US Hockey system about this one simple trick.
