There’s nothing wrong with the hit. Full stop.
Wah wah wah wah wah get over it, Liljegren couldn’t recover from the hit and fell over awkwardly. It’s called hockey, get a grip.

As long as they bring the grit in the playoffs when the game changes. - shack67
Ya im already over the reg season, just end it and lets get to what counts.
I honestly dont care how anyone plays during the reg season, i only care about what they do in the playoffs

It may be time to start making changes to this team, the way they reacted was horrid, hopefully Shanahan sees this because now I’m realizing he’s calling the shots… it’s why Lamoriello and Dubas are gone I’m thinking tbh. Different GM? Team still plays the same, and any GM who might want to make notable changes gets let go of. - Dozzer
How has shanny not seen this the past 5 years?
Ita only been 1 gm let go, and he (frank)ed around and found out quickly you dont do that.
I think its pretty obivious that had dubas stayed it would have been willie + for karlsson +...guaranteed karlsson would be on our blue line. And i think shanny said "no (frank)ing way".
Im glad he did.
I wanted to see how the team played with dubas gone, to see if keefe could be free and change things up, he hasnt.....they play the exact same way.
It definitely doesnt seem like the shanny or tree way.
Its keefe.

Your inability to capably see the difference between a hit and a trip is unsurprising

That’s actually my point, I think the only reason Keefe got to keep his job was he promised to stick to management’s way or last night would have been handled differently.

I dont think this is managements way though.
Why would tree sign Reaves and then have him sit when clearly it was a time for reaves to show why he was brought here.
I think management wants a tougher brand of hockey....the exact opposite of what we saw last night.

There’s something, I won’t know what it is, that I’m not liking about Shanahan, happy to do a coaching change first but I won’t lie about this either. Also he fired two GM’s, this is from a cbc article:
Shanahan said he doesn't have a timeline for filling the GM position.
'You learn as you go'
"I haven't begun that process and that's why nobody has been named," Shanahan said. "My focus was on Lou and making a decision, taking a little bit of time right after the season ended to really reflect on that. So I'm just handling one thing at a time."

Change can be good.
But when you want a change but the only options are terrible or below average coaches then why?
The only half decent coach is a poop human being and probably isn't allowed back in the NHL and rightfully so. - Santo_44
I dont know enough about what coaches are available...but im sure its more than who we think are available.
Keefe isnt the best there is out there right now.
I dont need a hockey genius or someone who thinks they are, we have that in keefe who overthinks things. I just want to see a different voice with this group

Ya i guess lou as well, in my mind lou was always just a temp filler.

lilgren initiated physical battle and lost. BM didnt do anything on purpose. Everyone just hung up on the name - drexel
The problem is, BM never does anything on purpose. These kinds of incidents just like to follow him around. People get speared, slew-footed, elbowed, knee'd, slashed, and licked by this clown. And it would be funny if people weren't getting injured because of it.
Yeah, people get hung up on his name because he, through his own actions, has made his name synonymous with phuckery and cheap shots.
I enjoy a good clean hit and a physical game, but I am also old-fashioned and a little bit naive I guess. I just expect a guy to dish it out and take it. If you can take it, then you're a hypocrite and a coward. The guy won't fight. He turtles when called out. Even dirty rat Perry will drop the gloves and fight.
I would pay good money to watch somebody absolutely destroy Marchand with a clean hit or pulverize him Claude Lemieux style if he does something cheap to hurt somebody.

Yeah, from what I remember he was supposed to become an assistant president type thing after his 3 years but didn’t want to quite yet hence why he was let go
It just seems people who don’t do things Shanny’s way, don’t last with the team much longer
