Tre needs to fire Keefe:

Zero reason to not fire him at this point.

Gallant is available.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

for a reason. He has a 2-3 year shelf life and hasnt accomplished a thing. Both times he did good in first year then next year regressed and then gonzo

Okay then give me who is better?

Can't say this without having names who are better

- Santo_44

Like i said there are a lot of coaches out there, many of whom we dont know about and im not gonna pretend to know who they all are. But no way keefe is the "best" of the bunch.
Heck even he is by some measure he is, what hes been doing hasnt worked.
Time for a new voice
Let keefe go play in Pittsburgh

so its their best start in years. DO they need to be undefeated at this point? They came back to take a point against undefeated team on the road. 5 new forwards. its 10 games in.

You’re missing the vibe. We know what the Leafs problem was, so they went out and tried to address it. But now there’s proof that nothings changed, so why would we expect a different result? Who give a (frank) about Keefe? He’s made thousands of mistake and honestly he seems kinda dumb to me.

Its a sloppy narrative that the core can't grind it out in the playoffs.

They were children for a few of those runs. Its not their fault they jumped right into Leafs playoff hockey at 18 and 19 years old.

Nylander has been labeled "soft" all these years and he was fantastic in playoffs. It is absolutely piss poor management to trade these gets to "balance" the team. This is a core group that wants to be here, thats not something a lot of teams can do and thats keep all their talent.

Its just a sloppy narrative that the core is soft, they are just entering prime years, the narrative that these guys "cant win" is stupidity.

- Santo_44

It’s a fact. Those 4 players cannot and have not grind it out in playoffs. Even last year vs Florida. They were older last year no?

Soft stars only = early playoff exit

Nylander is soft in that he won’t engage physically.

In hockey you are taught from an early age (at least most are) if your hands aren’t working, passes aren’t clicking, handling the puck like a grenade, just can’t find your legs - go out and make a difference another way. Bang a few bodies, muck it up and cause some poop out there. That’s what Pasta did last night for the Bs. It guy him and his team engaged. Kucherov does it Ovi does it stammer even point. It’s what you want. Non of our stars can do that. If the hands aren’t rolling offence isn’t clicking only 34 (defensively) is making a difference out there.

Anyways man we see and understand the game completely different so we will never agree on a roster composition.

I hate to agree with fuzzlenut but if Keefe has proven anything it's that he blows at player deployment and consistently gets out coached.

We're in the midst of watching him anchor Jarnkrok to matthews/Marner and then ramble about top players not producing while he refuses to split them up. We know how this will end, we'll get to the playoffs just to watch him throw blindfolded darts and (frank) it into oblivion like every other year. Save us the pain and skid him into the sun. 🤮

Even after admitting I was a tad over the top that is one thing I do wish JT realizes is a task belonging to a captain. If Keefe wasn’t putting a fighter on the ice after that cheap trip JT should have grabbed Marchand and started the damn fight
- Dozzer

Ya, not a fan of his Captain-manship (?). He's too quiet, his game is too quiet and he NEVER does anything Captain-y like you mention.

Good guy, good player but meh for me.

How has shanny not seen this the past 5 years?

Ita only been 1 gm let go, and he (frank)ed around and found out quickly you dont do that.
I think its pretty obivious that had dubas stayed it would have been willie + for karlsson +...guaranteed karlsson would be on our blue line. And i think shanny said "no (frank)ing way".

Im glad he did.

I wanted to see how the team played with dubas gone, to see if keefe could be free and change things up, he hasnt.....they play the exact same way.
It definitely doesnt seem like the shanny or tree way.
Its keefe.
Imo.

And it/he has gotten old. These players need a new direction even if there isn't a trade.

Gallant would be interesting for sure. I get that his team flaked out but not sure it was so much him than the team to be honest. His structure is good in my opinion. Good coaster too

Edit : just saw the thumbs up - thanks man

There’s nothing wrong with the hit. Full stop.
Wah wah wah wah wah get over it, Liljegren couldn’t recover from the hit and fell over awkwardly. It’s called hockey, get a grip.

Cowan assist on the OT winner for London.

2nd point of the game. And his first assist was shorthanded.
