I didn't say they were worse but definitely was not happy with them. I was not a fan of Tocchet either. So far, it looks like I was wrong and they know more about hockey than me. Just barely.
I was pleased with the off season however, mostly because there were no atrocious hail Mary UFA signings nor trades involving 1st round picks.

Very early but a lot of Allvin’s moves have been stellar, definitely changing the culture in the organization. Miller is still a twat but he now has a coach who he respects, and is probably afraid of, the inmates are no longer running the asylum. Hronek has been lights out good, that trade was a game-changer!!

By the way @Marwood, when I’m in my 60’s I’ll ensure to contact the Canadian government to collect my CPP & OAS, thanks!!

Allvin has done well, so far. That Horvat/Hronek trade circle thing was really good.
Cole looked really good last night. Loved him destroying Duchene!

Collective of ex players that know different parts of the game very well. Sedin's were scoring, PP guys, Foote and Gonchar good all around D. Yeo is there for something. Tocchet the motivator/toughness. Clark the goalie guru with NHL goalies.

I was very positive about the summer moves and draft. Lefty is trying to save face. This core is better than most could admit. They just needed the right additions and coaching group which management have done very well with finding so far. Hopefully they keep up the good work.

I for one was not impressed with them when they were trading a third for Dermott and giving up a second to move Stillman, Or D1ckenson and a second for Stillman. These were bush league trades. They have since smartened up and stopped those types of moves.

A good chunk of this team is Benning owned. Finally the new managers stopped doing clown moves and made some good acquisitions.
