I for one was not impressed with them when they were trading a third for Dermott and giving up a second to move Stillman, Or D1ckenson and a second for Stillman. These were bush league trades. They have since smartened up and stopped those types of moves.

A good chunk of this team is Benning owned. Finally the new managers stopped doing clown moves and made some good acquisitions.

They made some moves early I still don't like but that was season before last.

I questioned the Hronek trade because of his health which was totally reasonable seeing he only played 4 games... fast forward to the summer moves, draft and how camp was run.... I was positive about it all.

Lefty is shameless. He'll be back to chasing greener grass and posting other team's logos as soon as this team has a few struggles at some point.

As I've been saying, the biggest impact was going to come from coaching and buy-in from the players. Players in players out, but the top-to-bottom buy-in is making them better than the sum of their parts thus far.

Lefty is a troll. That is why I don't spend a lot of time responding to him when he gets in those moods.

If he want to talk hockey sure but that isn't often. Also he is wrong probably more than anyone on here

I think the buy in is a big part of it but also I will add this. I remember Hank Sedin saying it took them six years to figure things out. He said I was around twenty five and as if a light switched on. Petey Brock Hughes Demko Hoglander are all around that age and I think they are finally starting to get it. This year and next could be that time and I fully expect next years first round pick to be traded at some point to finalize the roster.

Just the culmination of you poopooing their additions this offseason, but moreso pumping the breaks after two wins as it was too small a sample size, then jumping on your high horse after two losses as that was a good enough sample size. Still a long season and there's lots of room for ups and downs... but ya, you were wrong

But, feels nice to actually have a solid start to the season. The team is playing well. Hopefully with the additions and a guy like Cole who has Cup pedigree, they can mentally weather the inevitable bumpy streaks.

It's not Beach, it's someone else.

An ex-Blackhawks player, a Black Ace teammate of Kyle Beach, sues the Hawks alleging a 2010 sexual assault

I know. I do expect Beach at some point to sue them.

That coach was fucken strange. He tried to join in when a player was having sex with a girl and started rubbing the players feet. Offered money to join in. Rub up against the player from behind.

He can't, I believe he got a settlement from the NHL and Blackhawks that preclude him from being able to sue.

Fair….I definitely sold out on Canada, Liberals destroyed things over the past eight years. I’ll refrain from talking politics on here though.

Very early but a lot of Allvin’s moves have been stellar, definitely changing the culture in the organization. Miller is still a twat but he now has a coach who he respects, and is probably afraid of, the inmates are no longer running the asylum. Hronek has been lights out good, that trade was a game-changer!!

- LeftCoaster

I hear you I’m an embarrassed Canadian and will try and move permanently to the States. I’d love to see Miller KO you

That game last night was a solid all around performance. Demko is dialed in at this point and looks to be settling in to a level of play closer to the bubble vs. his start early last season. His efficiency of movement is so very on point right now. Miller and Petterson are both playing a true 200ft game, which takes the pressure off of the bottom 6 who seem to be coming around.

Lafferty's speed is such a breath of fresh air, there were two sequences last night where he kept plays alive in the offensive zone based purely on his speed as he got to the puck first. I think that one of the best things the coaches have done is to get Myers to play a simple game which as a result allows him to not overthink in his zone. Sam Steel on a couple of occasions was poking at Demko and was yanked out of the pile by Boeser and Cole. That shows a commitment by the team to not just protecting Demko but the crease in general. Cole, Soucy and Suter to this point have been exactly as advertised which is huge as previously signed FA's have definitely not lived up to the hype.

I am happy to watch the games right now as they have been entertaining, I am thrilled that I have access to tickets for free through work as the atmosphere in Rogers is definitely improving and they are so good at home. I am going enjoy the ride as I am sure there are some bumps in the road on the way.

Great game last night, this group is really playing a complete team game, everyone is buying in.

1st if goals for
2nd in goals against
4th in PP
Pettersson tied for most points, 2nd in assists, Hughes ties for 3rd, Hronek tied for 4th, Miller tied for 5th.
Hughes most points by defenceman, Hronek tied for 2nd with Makar, Fox, Hedman. Seider and Theodore, holy sheep poop.

Pretty heady stuff all around.

Edmonton will be looking for huge revenge on Monday, please don't take the team lightly, kick the poop out of them and make McCryer shed buckets of tears.

Exactly... in fact don't take any of the 31 other teams lightly on any given day.
