Another Eastern conference clown. Comparing that 17-18 Flyers to this Canucks team is hilarious in the first place.

Yeah, there is about 8 teams that are currently going to "regress hard" if it's unsustainable.

- manvanfan

He got quote tweeted by Jfresh, if the Canucks get league average goaltending and scoring from here until the end of the year, they'll finish with 100-102 points.

Ah, well I can proudly say I don't bother with the Athletic's staff predictions

I dunno, I just don't see them having enough there to go all the way. They're in the top group of teams in the league, but I think there's 5 or so teams better than them.

- NorthNuck

Just pulling them as an example of people who have called Dallas to win.

And there are always "better" teams who never win the cup that year. I mean, just have to ask Reuby about that

Is it too early to say this is a different club all around?

They are turning heads for sure.

They've punched above their weight for sure, but I don't think I've heard a single person say "I think the Stars are going to win the cup" at all in the last 5 years.
- NorthNuck

It might be because of where you live and that your sports reading is only stats sheets and colourful graphs & charts.
Plenty of hockey people' have been picking the Stars as a potential Cup team the past few seasons.

Much more fun to go to a game in Van anyway.
- NorthNuck

True, if only I could make that work. Work is about to get stupid for the next 4 months.

The guy who coaches him is surprised.

But Loady isn't

- manvanfan

Nowhere in his quote does Tocchet say he's surprised.

And you all can suck it.

I seen that. The Oilers were 109 point team last year with below avg goaltending. Canucks were a .611 team last year under Tocchet, without Hronek, Mikky, and decent bottom 6 players.

I don't think the Canucks stay at a .792% but to think they drop down to a .560 club by years end like good ol Charlie thinks I can't see happening at all.

We always knew they could score, they just couldn't defend.

Demko was horrible at the start of last year but when he came back from injury the team made big strides.

I see this as a perfect storm so far. The goaltending has improved, the coaching is 500% better, the core is hitting the sweet part of their age and maturity. They have a better bottom 6 and the D has been a hell of a lot better. It is possible this is a very good team.

I dropped $10 on the Leafs to win when they were down 4-2 last night, paid out $26.50. Tonight the Sabres take on the Hurricanes, with the Canes 5-5 over their past ten games and some goaltending issues, plus, Buffalo kinda playing well right now some good odds for Buffalo at +180.

Please bet responsibly and only bet if you can afford to lose.

This is inaccurate. Going back to Montgomery as coach theyve been a top team, widely considered one you dont want to see in the playoffs cause they can beat anyone. But im looking forward to them playing colorado and carolina and other good teams too. I think they looked good against tampa, Edmonton and Dallas though, this idea they havent seen good competition is just not accurate.

Buffalo is a team that can win everynight, any time your getting juice on the moneyline os a good call. Vegasis slow to adjust sometimes, especially less popular teams.

I put $26.50 on the Sabres tonight. Could be proven to be very irresponsible.

Is there a feelings graph you can back this up with?

I'm guessing he had faith in his Coaching staff and system, like I did, to get through and get the best out of the D corps.
