Exactly. A lead up trade to create room for another move. I still feel it will be Bear coming back and I hope I am wrong. - VANTEL
I hope you are wrong as well.
The only way it makes sense for them to invest in Bear is if the team has one of their top 3 RHD injured after he's cleared to play and has been conditioning already.
Bringing in his cap hit then conditioning him and teaching him systems isnt going to improve the right side without (frank)ing things up for a significant amount of time... |

I would like to see Zadorov. The right age, big, toughness, can score. Being Russian with Mik Kuz and Podz might make it a landing spot for another contract extension.
I know he has problems also on D but would be a good five/six Dman.

I’m with you. I’d prefer Zadorov to Tanev. Cheaper acquisition cost as well |

I figure if they can teach Myers how to play then Zadorov should be a walk in the park.

Garland is being heavily sheltered. 65% O-zone starts. Just started coming around the last couple. Still needs to do more on the scoresheet. Especially if he wants his trade request fulfilled, because nobody is picking up a bottom 6 winger with term at 5 mil.
Beauv is far easier to move because he's cheaper and on an expiring contract. The risk is far less. - Load Management
Both players are not producing enough points. Garland is definitely better at the role they are both playing right now. RT just said post game he "definitely likes Gar's effort. He has minutes for a guy like him".
I havent heard any praises for Beauvillier out of RT during this hot streak. The bar is set really high now and Garland is getting praised none the less.
Right *now, they are getting better value out of Garland. I'm not claiming he is worth his contract though. Please don't trigger the knee jerkers.

All that talk about SJ worse start in modern NHL history and tomorrow they will probably be tied with the Stanley Cup favorite Oilers... - boonerbuck
That would be epic. Garland for McDavid ( retain half McD salary)
He looked so unraveled last game. He basically showed the game plan to beat the Oilers is piss him off.

If anyone doubts player favoritism by the officials in this league they need look no further than that 3rd period. McDavid skates up to Miller with a high cross check... gets away with multiple cross checks to follow. Then he skates over and engages with Pizza Guy... no call on the roughing... gets away with head hunting Suter a shift later... then soon after he starts skating around after the whistle throwing sucker punches, cross checks and slashes then they finally give him 2 min.... no misconduct just a tiny slap on the wrist. Players he's attacking are also in the box naturally. It's a (frank)ing joke and if someone injured him because the refs let him run around there would be hell to pay and it's their fault entirely.

Totally reasonable. Although that spree of McDavid's after the whistle which included the sucker shot on Hughes should get a 10min... it's the standard. In reality none of that later crap happens if they didnt green light him by excluding him from the pile of calls they handed out originally.

I don’t recall the sucker on Hughes.

Max effort geez thx lol - Nighthawk
Opposed to your zero effort.

Play by play calls it a stinky glove but McDavid is looking away and throws a sideways jab at him. Also says PDG is roughing McD but McD clearly attacks him. All that and he only gets 2min. |

I didn't think I needed to since we both watched the game and no one claimed this didnt happen.... I thought. But now I have my doubts you watched it.
Just like I doubt you are going to bother watching the clip... so you don't have to admit you were mistaken |

Of all the pending UFA’s he’s the only one I’d resign. Calls out his team, backs it up physically. He had 11 goals last year on a crappy team. If the
Canucks want him it’s going to be a huge cost. |

Thanks NYN, greatly appreciated as this blog is about to fall off the main page.
Don’t promise what you can’t contribute. I could write a guest blog from a Flames fan perspective, but you probably wouldn’t like it.
Maybe NYN is really Micheal?
