Depends on what you mean by NHL caliber. He was beating goalies at the Mens world championships as one of the youngest players there. Not all NHL yes, but all higher level than your average college goalie. On top the that he is shooting over 90 mph and accurate. That will beat goalies anywhere.

Ive watched a lot of BC games this year, the kid is fast, big, somewhat mean, and can really shoot hard. Hard for any level.

I don't know about blowing it up. McDavid is 26 and Draisaitl 27. It's unfathomable how the f'd this up.

Beer league goaltending and marginal defensemen. Been that way since those guys entered the league.

You know, you can call a player any way you want it. It just does not sit well with me when you call an accomplish person derogatory names. As bad as you might perceive him to be, he is still in top 1000 in the world.
None of us arm chair experts is probably close to be in the top 1000 in our field.
