Thanks. Speaking of the Phantoms, did you expect them to be better (than they appear to be so far) this year? - Dkos

I have to somewhat disagree with his first goal. He definitely made the goalie commit to the short side then went behind the net with speed. I think he knew exactly what he was doing, hoping for a bounce off the defenseman or the goalie. It was a heads up smart play. - Angus4444
Yea, that shift made Talbot bite and he did what he should, throw it to the net, speed, skill and a little luck |

Torts loves his north south players. Frost is not that and never has been. He has some creativity to his game that the Flyers lack. No offence but when Frost gets the puck below the dot there isn’t anyone on the team I would rather see with the puck. Hopefully for the Flyers sake he can get on a bit of a heater and become a regular because for a team that lacks consistent scoring they need all they can get. - landros 2
If Tip can keep finishing and TK gets hot again, that line has real potential.

x selke will be te top center until he has been "beaten" out for said spot.
I see TK getting his retirement ext this summer. - hello it's me 2050
I am thinking at least 3-4 years down the road. I think Coots will be playing 3 rd line minutes at that point.
I can see TK being moved in the early New Year. Same with Hart, if not sooner with Hart if Edmonton comes calling. |

Had the kings feed, they thought the Flyers outplayed the kings, that the kings played on the perimeter.
Frost said he was trying to get the puck to Tip on first goal |

I feel like I've heard someone else mention how archaic torts is... 🤔🤔🤔
If only I could recall who else has said that...
And for the record torts IS archaic and unfairly targets certain players - Bob Habib
Yes. I’m fairly certain he’s not the coach for us moving toward but I have no real issue with him as long as he’s fostering the growth of the young players. Which he isn’t for all of them from what I see. |

Had an assist taken from him by a questionable scoring change later in the evening in Buffalo. Frost and Zamula lost assists, and a shot block credited to Henri Jokiharju was changed to a giveaway (thereby making Belpedio's goal unassisted). It was a really harsh scoring decision. On Friday, yes, the assist on Tippet's goal was a gift. But it evened out for Frost. For Zamula, not so much. - bmeltzer
I don’t recall the other play, glad it evened out for him, just was shocked that was scored an assist. |

The curious case of Noah Cates. At this point out him back on the wing, would hate to see him pigeon holed into a 4th line center |

And play him on wing instead of who in the top 9? |

or a playmaking center for the second line, with Tippet and Farabee, as I think TK will get traded for a top center prospect or pick used on a center. In the Lindros days, having Brindamour as an 80 point #2 center was a team strength, and while Frost definitely isn't Brindamour, he has the skill to be a point producing 2nd line threat.
Michkov, XXX, Cutter
Farabee, Frost, Tippett
Brink, Coots, Laughton
We know Tippet and Frost work well together and so does Farabee and Tippett. We would even have a very decent 3rd scoring line with Brink and Coots.
Trade Hart and TK for firsts and prospects, and see what we have. - TheFreak
THAT (again if Cutter and Michkov turn out to be elite) would have the potential to be a contending top 9. |

Who do you have playing goal for the team? Ersson and sandstrom? I’d want a high first along with an nhl ready prospect. Preferably d.
One thing I wonder, everyone wants to get rid of hart like he’s 35. He just tuned 25 and in my view is just entering his prime with that possibly lasting until 32 let’s say? Some say his age doesn’t align with the rebuild, but Is the rebuild going to take 5 to 7 years or say 3? If so, keep him unless it’s an overpay.
Further, if we get rid of him, then we have to find an nhl tender and develop them with the hopes it works. If it doesn’t, we’re in a similar position as Edmonton and Toronto with this part of what’s holding them back. If they were plentiful I don’t see Edmonton paying Campbell as much as they did in desperation.
Not that hart is on the same level as price, but price has some of his best seasons aged 27 on. It takes a while to develop a tender and they are a hugely important cog to an emerging young teams success and having a solid vet in goal as you enter your window isn’t a bad proposition imo. Just my $.02.

I am torn on Hart. I have watched him since he was a teenager, playing against the Victoria Royals when he was with Everett. He set records in the CHL, and he has everything you want from a #1 goalie. I don't think his timeline lines up with the Flyers, and feel the return from a desperate team like the Oilers could add pieces that would become big cogs in the rebuild.
I do feel Ersson is one of those goalies that needs to play a lot to stay sharp, and I would be ok running him out there as our regular. Him, Cal and Felix can hold the fort down. Playoff spot? no, but they are servicable for a team that should have no playoff expectations. Next year, Kolosov arrives, and we should all be pretty excited about him. I am retired, and have a lot of free time, so I watch the KHL games with him and Michkov playing in them, and he looks really, really good.
I am not worried about goaltending at this point, if a Hart return is too good to turn down.
