That's been every game for what feels like most of the season. They get out to a great start, then they face a bit of adversity when the other team pushes back and they absolutely piss all over their own faces

I thought that about the Canucks game too. I was like "they're flying out there and they look great, tonight they're going to get back in the win column" and then...yep

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, there's just so much wrong with this team. First and foremost, they lack any sort of defensive awareness and communication. That's why when teams start pushing hard with forechecks, we fall to pieces. At this stage, I'm convinced it's a matter of poor coaching and just undisciplined players. It's a total trainwreck.

Islanders are not kind to US at all.

Islanders went the ECF two years in a row. You want more than this?

Should this not happen to a vet team? I do not see Lane teaching the team the go-go style of Cappy and Doug.

I don't have any answers, there's so many issues.

- They're another year older
- They're slow
- They're mostly unskilled
- There's no competition to for any spots, so there's no pressure on the players
- They're seemingly not well coached
- There's been very little roster turnover/shake-up which makes me wonder if, intentionally or unintentionally, it has bred some complacency

Seems like a pretty good list. So just that I'm clear, it's important to have young players with speed and skill and you cannot just keep mostly the same old roster and expect great results?
