Good old catch 22. The Isles need changes badly but the guy in charge is a main reason why changes are needed. I don’t want this guy making anymore moves tbh. As much as I’m dying for a move it can’t come from Lou 🤣 - Vukota
With you on this. Funny when you think about how many times we’ve been in this situation as Islander fans. |

Only move Lou should be allowed to do is fire Lambert and pick someone to finish the season. Then when the season is over he can gtfo |

Doubt if it is any sort of big name if the potential coach thinks Lou will be out after the season. |

I'm hoping ownership sees the writing on the wall and makes the appropriate decision. GM changes rarely come in-season so I don't suspect we will see anything move on that front anytime soon.
They really need to get a modern day GM in here and start to move on from being stuck in this mindset of achieving success by being the scrappy underdog team that will muck and grind their way to wins. Speed and skill should be at the forefront of their priorities going forward and everything else should come second. |

Woodcroft is out there, not sure who else is that's really interesting. Not dying to give another assistant his first crack at a head coaching job |

Moving forward how much of a priority should lockeroom temperature takers be? |

Amen! This team has to get away from small time thinking. |

Also 7 more years of dumb looks and expressions from Mayfield after another brutal penalty 🤣 |

These 7 year contracts are so bad. NHL better wake up and stop with the NTC unless for elite players. |

As much of a priority as jamming a coat hanger in your pee hole is, give or take |

Even those Devils teams had useful 3rd and 4th line players. I just do not understand the thought process with this roster. |

The Isles have useful 3rd and 4th line players. About three lines worth |

One positive thing I will say: Holmstrom is impressing me in some capacity every night. He's pretty adept at causing turnovers and is turning into a good defensive player. |

Ha-ha! 4th line is far from useful at this point and even the 3rd line has been a challenge for the Islanders over the years. This team has not been put together correctly and Lou has not helped a lot in terms of the roster. |

I just hope this does not turn out to be like the prior owner ( Wang) when he just keeps same GM for years when things are not working out The owners seem to be hung up on LOU |

Agreed and I’ll add Romanov for a 23 yr old is making it look like losing that first rounder wasn’t so bad. It’s not all horrible. |
