That should been a penalty to Detroit for knocking the net off.
Leafs got one earlier ...

- dmnted

I can't wait to hear their explanation for why that didn't count. Honestly. What's the logic? It was clearly going in the net.

Even better there.

The ford government hasnt sabotaged it.

Depends who you are thankfully. As an epileptic I ended up having 6 doctors taking care of me, 4 of them neurologists, on the 2nd when I had to show up to emerge

They have to lead the league in that for the past few years...or at least it feels that way.

Yes, that's how it works. The first one was inconclusive

Second one was definitely a penalty shot as he covers the puck

- Fakepartofme

It was pretty obvious it was in.

Clear as day.

Regardless, at the very least it’s a (frank)ing penalty.

Delay of game has to be intentionally knocking off the net.

Still doesn't explain no penalty for the Detroit player dislodging the net. I get that he tripped accidentally but that can be called, especially with how tightly they're calling the Leafs so far.
- 13sundin13

It can't.

You can only call it if they intentionally dislodged the net.

He didn't.

The puck crosses the goal line.

Walman “almost” stops it but he goes through the net to get there.

Yeah, it being accidental means absolutely nothing, really. He still did it. It still happened.

Same as how 99.9% of highsticks are accidents. It's still a penalty.

It doesn’t matter anyway, the puck crosses the line.

I’ve seen the NHL call these goals plenty of times.

Pick a lane NHL.

A full foot inside where the post is supposed to be.

Maybe the easiest call you'll ever see. And the NHL gets it wrong. Truly impressive.

Just like handling the puck, it has to be intentional I dont think Moe Rie did that on purpose.

Man, this team just doesn’t pass the eye test right now. Low energy, constantly losing puck battles, poor defensive coverage… they need to get it together.

Maybe St. Matthews will save us in the third?? But he looks disinterested the last few games…

I'm going to defend the Leafs here.

They are on a European vacation.

They deserve a couple of games off - soak in the sights, relax, go have a sauna.
