The Leafs are 3-0 without Reaves in the lineup.
Doing simple math, if they keep him out of the lineup, they will finish the season with 152 points, and win the Stanley Cup in 16 games.
These are facts, so don't even bother trying to argue with me. - Atomic Wedgie

I was surprised as well and I’m guessing that this will either involve a delayed removal from LTIR for Timmins or they’re just waiting til they can get Klingberg onto it at the same time.
Maybe Reaves will retire early only to get hired as a DJ who plays tunes in the dressing room for $1.3 mill per season? - Dozzer
Klingberg not even on the ice.
He last played 11 days ago, so why the frank wouldn't you put him on LTIR?
Is he really going to play in the next two weeks?
They can put him on retroactively to Nov 12. |

I don't think we have LTIR space left after Murray and Muzzin. Just checked, 1.6 left.

They haven’t, and he has been on the ice for some of the practices as well. Maybe the leafs were simply waiting for Klingberg to be honest with himself when it comes to where he stands health wise. |

Because he buries them the first time instead of needing more? Who knows but hes been great. Seems to be getting loads of chances when I watch the games. - systemtool
Yeah, that doesn't check out.
Look at his chances/TOI and then get back to me. |

With those two off the roster and Timmins back on, putting the team about $500K below the cap for putting Klingberg on LTIR |

Yeah, hence my question. Timmins hasn’t been officially taken off of it yet so I’m curious if they decide to keep him on it a little longer, if they do the leafs wouldn’t need additional space for those two. |

Seriously? He has more assists and points/game for everyone on that list except Pasta. He’s literally trading off scoring chances for goals for goals for Matthews and JT. |

After going so long since their last practice, I’d be surprised if the lines they use at practice aren’t the ones that play tomorrow which means Reaves sits, Timmins activated and Klingberg off the to da island.
The specific timing for making all these moves is Pridham mechanics |

Yup, it’s either what you’re saying or a little bit more of a delay for Timmins is all I’m thinking.
I truly wonder what the plan for Reaves will be if they’ve determined he doesn’t suit the team, I highly doubt they’ll sit him for 3 years or send him down to the AHL this soon, not because he doesn’t belong there but because it would make the leafs look a tad questionable for other UFAs |

Not really. As I recall all cap compliance is calculated at midnight EST, so any moves that a team needs to make in order to be (or seem to be) cap compliant has to occur prior to then. I do believe it's the central registry that would stop you making a move that would put you over the cap, though, without a direct explanation of what your intentions are. I'm not positive on what the NHL's punishment for being over the cap on a non-game day is, but I'm pretty positive that being over the cap on a game day would result in forfeiture of the game - hence the central registry. |

No.
According to Elon’s “X” (which is known as an entirely accurate, non-fake medium) it’s Joe Biden’s illegal immigrants rushing across the border. Now they’re invading from Canada. |
