Breaking News: 🚨

////////////////

Through my various trusted sources/insiders, you’re hearing it here first.

Brad Treliving has asked William Nylander to submit a 10 team no trade list. William was spotted leaving Treliving’s office with a pen and a blank piece of paper.

2 mins ago. From 🌍. E4.9

- Arctic_AARDVARK

Didn't Nylander already did that back on July 1st.

Fun fact: nobody knows - game day or non-game day.

No, seriously. There are no rules or guidelines for it.

Sorry to have missed this, had some running around that came up.

Thanks to you and Monleypuck for the answers, the fact that particular bolded exists tho…. That’s nuts, wonder how this “openness” gets used, is it sincerity that’s just helpful to the different offices doing the work across the continent or is it something, let’s say, a touch more useful?

Idk why Toronto doesn’t just build a new stadium.
- Arctic_AARDVARK

Because they missed the window they didn't think they'd have. The location can't be improved upon.

If they knew the Pandemic would've been as bad as it was with all the shutdowns, and the Jays not playing a game in Toronto for over a year, I think they would've done a full tear down and rebuild.

Crap. I was hoping it was just an intense car fire, but this looks more like an intentionally detonated car.

Well, if no ones leaving their houses back then, then in a year when they do, they could walk out to see a brand new stadium.

Be a real mystery how it got there.

90% of fans and all of media keep saying "the regular season doesn't matter" and playoffs is all that matters.

But now 20 games of Nylander getting 27 points means he is worth 12M now?

Its insane, Willy will go through a dry streak, he will finish with 40+ goals and 95ish points.

The playoffs will decide how much he earns from the Leafs.

- Santo_44

First off I don't see any posts suggesting he is worth 12M.

Secondly he has produced well in post season ... averaging a point-per-game over past 3 seasons.

Roads and poop, yeah, it'll take literal years to do a 50 foot stretch of road. It's pathetic.

Last off-season the inside of the Dome got reformed in the outfield. Was done in time for the season to start.

A new stadium would've been similar, since there's an actual deadline that needs to be met.

I love seeing all the infrastructure sites where there's a dozen guys standing around looking at a hole in the ground.

Seriously? He has more assists and points/game for everyone on that list except Pasta. He’s literally trading off scoring chances for goals for goals for Matthews and JT.
- Canada Cup

Yes, (frank)ing seriously.

It's awesomesauce he's got a high rate of conversion on his scoring chances, but the rate is unsustainable and he's not creating as many chances as others on the list.

To wit: he's not better than AM34 and he doesn't deserve any more than 10M/AAV.

I don't think he's better than Matthews, but from what I've seen those scoring chance stats don't fully capture the relative play of all those players, or the way Willy's dominating to start this season.

You missed the point. It’s not a question of a high rate of converting on scoring chance. He has fewer scoring chances in part because he’s creating scoring chances for guys on that list who have more scoring chances. Fewer scoring chances and more assists and points.

I’ve never said he’s better than Matthews and what he “deserves” is irrelevant. The market and cap level will play a big part in determining what he gets.
