Well you didnt tell me anything.
Ive been saying this since tree signed....tree has been scorned, wont let him walk.
Just hope he doesn't sign him to a stupid contract. - Fakepartofme
There’s a chance that other GMs will be able to figure out what you and AA figured out and will just low ball their offers for a guy that Treliving has to trade. An outcome where Willie leaves for a bad return and continues to get even better might be worse than keeping him and trying to win a Cup with him this year. |

What's with the NHL schedule? No games tonight a bunch tomorrow, none on Thursday. You'd think that they'd at least put a fleabag game on, something like Columbus vs Arizona. Kind of strange. |

Just for the record; Willy will never be worth more than he is right now. Two things could happen; an injury or he starts playing like Willy a couple of year back. By the time his next contract kicks in, he'll be 28. If he signs and 8 year deal, he'll be 36 when it's over. If he gets the big money, north of $10.5M, he better not get a no movement clause on an 8 year deal.

First time I’ve taken American thanksgiving off as a Canadian. Have family coming Thursday at noon to start watching football, drink and eat food all day. Friday early leaf game. Might have to do this every year. |

I hear you. I've been doing U.S. Thanksgiving for a number of years now. Being about 70 minutes from the border, it's less than 2 hours from home to a U.S. city. Over time, I've met people from there and see them on U.S. Thanksgiving. The shopping is great, but the currency exchange is horrible. Lucky enough, there's a Casino not that far away, so that'll be a stop on Saturday or Sunday.

That's what you say when you don't want to hurt a guy's feelings.
If it was just bad luck, why put him in the pressbox?
The reason other guys are out of position is because they are shifting to make up for Reaves being out of position.
Think of playing with the worst guy on your beer league team. It's the same thing. - Atomic Wedgie

Any return is better than no return.
Also as ive said before, tree may keep willie throughout the season and do a sign and trade once the leafs are bounced in the 2nd or 3rd round
I doubt he gets better than this. |

No, he’s probably not going to continue on a 130 point pace all year but there’s also no reason to assume that he won’t continue to improve year over year.
And the idea that any return is better than no return ignores the return he’s giving you this year. If there’s no trade that improves or maintains your chance at winning, then don’t make a trade during the season. If it’s clear that he won’t sign and you can do something after the end of the season, go for it.
If Treliving makes a bad trade for a guy who turns into a legitimate star, we’ll see Boston Pizzas being firebombed across the GTA |

Nah. Keeps things interesting.
And, does anybody know what "attempted choking" means?
Is it like when I try to Darth Vader the guy in the car ahead of me who didn't signal?

No, not really all that interesting. Lucic came home drunk, got pissed at his wife and roughed her up a bit. How much is unclear but she had a red mark on her chest. Oh, and the kids had friends over for a sleepover so that adds to the fun.
Lucic has entered the league substance abuse program and is likely done in the league. |

If Edmonton keeps losing, McDavid is going to demand a trade out.
Willy, Knies, Samsonov, Brodie, two 1st Rd picks, prospect for McDavid and Campbell.
That’s a massive haul for McDavid. |

I think we've established that Kampf has been playing very poorly - and there are several cases where he is the direct culprit of a goal against. That said:
Gregor - Holmberg - Reaves: -1
Gregor - Kampf - Reaves: -6
Nylander- Kampf - Reaves: -1
Gregor - Tavares - Reaves: -1
Knies - Holmberg - Reaves: - 1
Marner - Matthews - Reaves: - 1
These are all the line combinations that Reaves has had a scoring event with. He has not contributed to a positive scoring event yet. In fact, if you look at iXg - Individual Expected Goals, and qualify by forwards who have had 100 5v5 minutes, you get 376 players. Ryan Reaves is 374th.
375th is Mackenzie Entwhistle - who actually has a goal and an assist for the record.
376th is Patrick Laine - which probably explains the healthy scratching and all that.
Kampf is 346, so it's not like he's doing much out there either - but the point is that Reaves isn't doing anything to help the team or himself. He'll be 38 in 2 months time - if he has anything left in the tank it's time to use it.
