Zach Jarom: Thanksgiving Moves - Zach Jarom
Best on Thanksgiving Day to all.
With Taylor Hall going to LTIR, GM Davidson's phone line will probably explode as other GMs look to dump players and open up cap space for themselves. |

Yes definitely, but it’s also incredibly imperative that there’s enough saved to bring in a bonafide stud to pair with Bedard next year regardless of financial cost.
With Hall likely no longer being a viable line mate for Bedard moving forward, the team badly needs a PPG-type player to pair with him. |

No Hall; No AA (for at least a little while); and no Perry (for the time being).
Whatever little depth the Hawks had is non-existent now. There’s something poetic about this Hawks season being officially “cooked” on Thanksgiving.
San Jose we’re coming for you. Just a bummer this is a weaker draft all things considered. |

Unless the Cap goes up significantly, I don't think that's the move. It's possible Nazar is up next year and I could see them possibly going after a top 6 fwd in a trade or FA.
Just don't think next year is the time to push your chips in on a big name, big ticket FA and if I were a betting man, I'm guessing KFC won't make that type of move yet.

In the last blog I mentioned how I am hopeful that the Blackhawks would be able to select Celebrini.
Whether KR would engineer a trade to move up even possibly a few spots is worthy of debate. Before you dismiss the reality such a landscape would exist for a trade and draft bonanza, we have to wait and see whether we may have the goods to barter
Can you imagine the celebration like the fans in the Blackhawks lounge who jumped to their feet in celebratory mood when Bedard was chosen?
Cele(Brini)! Celebrate good times indeed like the renown ‘80’s song pounds to the beat.
Celebrini is the guy to target. He is worthy of the second choice overall: while some mock drafts look at team needs and one draft in particular predicted Celebrini slips to Chicago at #6 overall, I would be shocked if he lasts this late
Celebrini is the right tonic, the right add for Bedard and a team greatly missing a scorer
How it could happen in my suggestion involves the maturation into solid performance by Phillips and KD parts ways with his gold nuggets - some of his draft choices. I bet if we included one of our top dmrn prospects, the deal is a fair exchange to both sides. Then there had to be a dance partner
Phillips, our #1’24, one of our #2 ‘’24, plus one among Allen, DelMastro or possibly Kaiser
The board reaction if this is a reasonable offer and whether the team willing to make such a transaction finishes with the lottery choice to trade away |

I want to throw a question out at you guys considering what may be available in June, plus the huge boost to the cap. Assuming, with the current state of affairs for the Hawks that they may continue to broker deals using all their cap space. Do the Hawks use some of the assets they've attained to swing some deals in the off-season?
Nylander.. on the wing with Bedsy?
Lindholm and Hanafin? Lock up a 2C and 1LD.
Ullmark?
Sign Gustaffson (for the 3rd time) in the offseason away from the Rangers. |

Giving up those type of assets is not part of the rebuild. Mack will be a nice player but to give up that much to move up say 2-3 spots to me is going against what KD is trying to do.

Signing Gus again must be your attempt at humour on Thansgiving Day.
Nylander is heading for a new deal approaching $11M - let the Leafs deal with who they are going to have to dump to keep him. No requirement for him in Chicago at this stage but can help financiallyin return for a couple of the Leafs future 1st round picks. |

Rangers fans are loving him, and hes been one of the besf D men in the league thus far.
The question is with all the players that may be available come June, are you guys content with how things have gone thus far to potentially end the rebuild and go all-in on some of these elite players? |

Nylander, Lindholm, Hanafin and likely Ullmark. Elite loosely speaking but you have some high end players that could be had. |

And Tyler Johnson and Murphy haven't suffered their annual injuries yet.

What is happening with Perry…? |

4-3-2-1-4
My feeling is if the Hawks select 1, 2 or 3 they go for a forward either Celebrini, Eiserman or Catton. If those three are chosen and they pick 4th I don't think they roll the dice on the Russian Demidov, but go for the RD Levshunov. |

His last two games were not his best stuff this year. Serves me right for talking about selling him high at the deadline. |
