All the information available and comments from interviews with Jones and Briere, indicate that are completely on board with everything that Tortorella is doing. I agree that he wears on players over time but that's not in the cards right now.
I don't know but I know they wouldn't bench a player who has had a strong season for one mistake that wasn't that egregious. I hope you're right about Tortorella.

I live in Western Canada and have seen his act in Vancouver...he only lasted 1 year, and fought with Trevor Linden....basically Vancouvers Bobby Clarke as to his place in team history. He wears his welcome out fast. He almost has stages...where he seems cocky and sure, then argumentative, then he starts skipping press confrences, etc, and then he gets fired. he seems like he is in the argumentative stage right now. Give us a 10 game losing streak, and the press conferences will start to be skipped.
How can the front office agree with benching/ scratching the list of players they have, and giving others a free pass? I don't think they do agree, but the last thing they need is a public disagreement with the coach on the direction of the team. Stay the course, make some moves, let Torts be Torts, and he will force their hand sooner than later. How could Farabee not help the team last night?
