Your response is more indicative of “the problem with society these days”
The Flyers are trying hard to play nice with the folks in Russia because they’d like to someday get MM over here and here’s the coach referring to him as a Mad Russian. |

Yes I believe he has. Or at least has a little better track record. I think we can all agree that none of the three are great at it. - mickel25
He has, which is why I'm in favor of giving Ristolainen a shot at it. |

Well that is your opinion.
Is Frost hustling more or coasting more at practice?
Is he going into corners or against the boards and digging pucks out?
You are always acting like the super genius here, only your opinions should be taken as the facts . Do you watch every second of every shift of Frost? Do you watch all his movements? Do you watch what he is doing when he does not of the puck? Do you block out the other 9 players on the ice and concentrate of Frost or do watch a second here and there?
Are you at every game sitting at the top so you can see what every player is doing or are you at home sitting in-front of a tv that does not show everything that is happening on the ice?
I agree with some of your posts but when you start calling out Torts and defame him, you instantly lose credibility.
This horrible coach Torts has a team that has a player that should be retired, 2 players that missed a season or 2, 3 rookies and 6 new players on it contending for a playoff spot. He is a Neanderthal coach who is horrible at his job. - WhiskeyMan
Yes, it is my opinion and I would ask the same questions to you. Applying the standard of are we there all the time and do we know as much as they do across the board means that we aren't free to comment and offer an opinion? When does that apply or not apply. Randomly or just when we don't like an opinion offered. Here is another opinion. Applying that standard is asininely stupid. It applies infallibility and immunity from criticism to the team.
As far as my credibility is concerned. I'm not hard to find. Challenge my credibility all you want. I welcome it. See how well you make out.

Top line in a few years of Frost, Cutter, and Mad Russian.
We need points this week. We could tumble to 7th in Metro this week. |

I don't disagree with you and I do feel there needs to be more balance. Hopefully with Cates out Frost and Brink will play well enough to stay in the lineup. However we also have to consider the importance of playing some veteran players enough so they have good trade value come the deadline. For example, you want Staal to showcase himself to other teams so that the Flyers can get something for him. I think this can happen while also making sure Zamula gets into enough games to continue to develop. Torts said as much in yesterday's presser. - jd250
Showcasing Staal? We're talking about the difference between a 7th-round pick and future considerations here. Either way he's gonna fetch next to nothing. He's like a Plan C for any team looking for veteran 7D. |

That's also why I get upset when people say "Trade Frost." For what? What's his value right now? Why would we trade a former 1st round, top 6 center for a late round pick (and maybe a prospect?).
Play Frost. Plain and simple. Now he has a chance. Let's see what he does.

I hope the coach sets him and forgets him here for the next 6-8 weeks. No one in Lehigh Valley should be pushing him out of the lineup at this juncture. But it wouldn't surprise me if they brought in Laczynski and scratched Frost to further prove they don't care for him.
Also, glad to see Staal is finally scratched. I'd like it more if he's scratched for the next 5-10 games so Zamula can get some confidence back. I don't care for Risto but he seems to be a better match with Zamula than Staal anyway. |

And therein lies the other conundrum. Frost has been demonstrably better than the players replacing him. And Zamula in my opinion has been better than Staal.
Again, sit Brink, Zamula, Foerster every once in a while if they see they are wearing down or just need a maintenance day. But dont blow smoke up my ass telling me that who they are sitting for, are playing too good to be taken out of the lineup.
Frost, there is no excuse. He should be playing every game and it shouldnt even be an issue. - MBFlyerfan
I'd keep frost but we really need to look into trading some other guys to get talent to play with michkov and cutter |

There is no threat of a point shot with sanhiem. Risto is one of the best at getting his on net. Would also like to see York with the 1 st unit as he has run the pp at every level he’s played until now. He is also good at keeping the puck in the zone. - Peter Richards

Torts acknowledged today part of the reason why he's pushing the team to play a more aggressive style this year in terms of creating offense is in anticipation for a few years down the road, when Michkov & a few more high-end scorers are here. Had a good quote, too. Incoming.

"You get to the future, you start moving away a couple of years from now when the Mad Russian comes over here & you start bringing in maybe some UFAs when the time's right w/some more offensive skill. I want that to fall into place when they come in. I want to stay w/this style." - StepfordSam
The only thing offensive about his quote is he mentioned UFAs. Same as Jones who also has been harping on this. Don’t they follow the league and realize there are seldom any good UFAs now. |
