if you can't decorate a tree in 20 minutes, you are doing it wrong.


fun fact. my mom used to take two days to trim the tree. my dad, my sis and i never went near it. we weren't even going to attempt to put a single ornament up and incur the wrath.

it had to be perfect. the lights went up first and had to be spaced perfectly. i will say my dad did string the lights and mom adjusted them.

then i have no idea about the ornaments because i stayed as far away as i could from that tinderbox.



she did seem to enjoy it, tho. so whateves. we learned to stay out of the way.

in fairness, it wasn't like that as much when my sis and i were youngins.

I can be a bit of a perfectionist too, so I'll take the time to place the lights evenly and poop, but I usually don't spend hours and hours on it either.

although I can't say I'm done yet, not sure if the "trimming" you speak of includes all of the required steps but for my artificial tree, just taking it out of the box, setting it up and opening all the branches properly does take some time.

oh no. getting it set up was a day in itself. well not a day but letting it "fall" after being set up was done as its own step.

oh yeah, my grandma does that too. she's 99, and except for actually putting it up she still trims the tree all by herself. and there's a poop ton of decorations in it too loll.

Être enseignant est un travail super difficile….

Juste gérer les parents qui pensent que leurs kids sont meilleurs que les autres est de la marde à la puissance 10…

Ils méritent de meilleures conditions mais le problème est que le gouvernement est cassé à cause du COVID…

Et pour les plus vieux, souvenez vous quand le Parti Québécois avait coupé leurs salaire de 15%…

Ils ont l’été off mais le 3/4 sont en burn-out…
